Nice place,an older style florida motel, with a great manager,Roman, and nice Florida style grounds. It has a nice pool and a triple level deck, where you watch the sunset, catch rays or lounge in the shade to escape the midday sun.It has a bbq,if you choose to cook, and lounge chairs for your relaxation. The room we stayed in had a full kitchen, large living/sleeping area, was nice, clean and comfortable. The place is right on the beach and doing the nightly sunsets is a plus.It has its own house egret,Charlie, who walks the grounds every morning. The prices are fair and there is parking.Remember this is and older place, but it is spacious and clean and cool[good ac].The outdoor deck can get a bit crowded if families rent that week, but no problem, just go down to the beach. We bought 2 beach chairs from Publixs for about $13.00 each.We brought our own beach towels, but you can get them for about $5.00 each at walgreens. We would definitely return again. We love St.Pete beach and the Gulf.My only con is the family that decided to play their radio loud enough to destroy the natural peace and beauty of the place.Get an mp3 player with headphones, nobody wants to listen to your music, the boom box era has passed,be considerate of your fellow vacationers.
Give this hotel a try, you're gonna like it.

Room Tip: front room by pool area lets you see the beach and sunset from the comfort of your living room.

St. Pete Beaches are the best, clear, calm shallow blue waters of the Gulf to swim in. This is a 1950's motel, it is family owned and operated. Yes the rooms are dated but it is so clean, a good price and right on the Gulf so who cares. (there are three 2nd floor rooms that are new) This is a really nice place for families and empty nesters, if you can't get in here ask Roman if his cousin has an opening next door. There is two grills a wonderful pool and the beach. A very nice Publix in right down the street, clean, friendly staff, a bar on the beach two doors down, don't worry about noise or patrons they keep the order! Everyone so friendly and respectful. Parking is tight but never had a problem. A visit to Pass-a-Grill down at the end of the island is fun and there is a boat service down in Pass-a-grill and they offer boat rides to Shell Island and Egmont Key.

The pool deck has so much to offer- shade games 3 level deck grills chairs waterfall!! So many chairs too!
The room has a full kitchen and a separate bedroom for the adults.
We met many people from around the world here- obviously a nice gem in my own back yard!! As I live in Tampa- 40 miles away!!

I've stayed at Long Key at least once sometimes 3 times a year since 1995. It's perfectly located on the gulf. Great pool and B-B-Q area and very reasonably priced (compared to neighboring establishments). It's the most professional family owned and operated resort I've found and It's become my favorite vacation spot in the entire US.
The rooms are a bit spartan but they are clean, comfortable and everything works. The owners Roman and Lottie are friendly, helpfull, and very courteous. They even accommodate late arrivals/check-ins.
Once you've stayed at Long Key, you're family. Believe me, if you stay here once, you'll be back.

We are a family of 4 with a 3 and 6 year old. We drive to Disney from Philadelphia every year in October and always stop in Daytona for 2 nights. Well.... now we have found our new home away from home! There's nothing like the Gulf side of florida and if you're traveling to disney it's only 1 1/2 hour drive away! We stayed 3 nights with 2 small children and it was the best vacation yet! First of all the Long Key has the best beach. When u step down from the pool area, you are on the white sand beach with NO OBSTRUCTION of sand dunes or grass, like ALL of the other hotels right next door and near by. It's a quiet atmosphere but yet I did not feel uncomfortable with my young kids running around because EVERYONE staying there are 'repeaters" and even the guests are nice. The owner, Roman made us feel right at home. Will definitly be returning next October!

My wife and I picked this place to stay during our wedding/honeymoon in St. Pete. We did good, as this hotel was perfect! Family owned and operated, smaller resort with all the amenities. The owner, Roman, couldn't have been nicer. Anytime we needed anything, he was right there. We stayed in an apartment style room, with a king bed and small kitchenette. The decor is on the older side (on par with the "Old Florida style"), but very clean and in good shape. The appliances in the kitchen were up to date and worked just fine. Average bathroom, this place isn't super fancy, but has everything anyone could want or need. The grounds were pretty, the pool nice (and heated), and the observation deck is a great feature. They even have a gas grill if you feel like lunch or dinner in your room.

Very laid back, relaxing atmosphere, quiet and fun, and it sits right on the beach! Undertow bar is very close, two resorts over in fact, and is a fun beach bar if you're looking for an adult beverage.

We plan on staying here again in the future, when we are living in Tampa and feel like weekends in St. Pete Beach. The value is outstanding, and we recommend to anyone visiting in St. Pete Beach to give Long Key a stay. You shouldn't be disappointed. If you are, it's your own fault! LOL.

Thank you Roman for a great stay on the beach!

Room Tip: The gulf apartments are great, if you are traveling in pairs. The regular rooms looked very spaciou...

We have been coming to Long Key Beach Resort for 23+ years and adore it. This year some friends (who had never been to the US before) came with us, and they loved it too (in fact today they told us they had booked for next year!). It really is a hidden paradise at reasonable rates. Roman and his team (well, Lottie and Alicja and Slyvie - and sometimes Jack) are extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. I have read some of the gripes on Trip Advisor - and they are completely wrong. OK, some of the rooms (I hear) are a little 'tired' but they are very clean, and, hey, that's all you need. We always stay for 3 weeks and have a wonderful time with our US friends, and some UK friends who have found LKBR. It really is a gem in a wonderful location. Lots of wonderful local restaurants, the best of which (for us) is Cafe Luna.

Room Tip: If you want a large family room, 113 is perfect. Rooms (gulf view I think they call them) near the...
