We stayed on St. Pete Beach for Spring Break. Should have taken our time to ask some locals for the best seafood place on the beach. We found "that place", just down the street our 2nd nite but, it wasn't SPINNER's. Not sure what was worse, our server or the food. Server greeted us (after our drinks were delivered) with "It's going to be at least 45 minutes to an hour before you will get your food. We are cooking for 2 locations tonight and we are very busy." If we hadn't just received our drinks, we would have left. Server honestly needed to be working at Chili's or Applebee's. Everything we asked for (bread, water, lemons, etc.) she forgot as soon as she left our table!!?? It was only when she passed our table, did the lightbulb go off. We LOVE crabcakes and can quickly tell a good one from a disgusting one. The key word is "CRAB". Their crabcakes are nothing more than breadcrumbs and very little crab. Waste of money and we didn't even bother eating. Just plain GROSS. The grouper was flavorless and overcooked. Nothing more irritating than having the food delivered to table and the server never comes back to check on you!! She clearly paid more attention to a larger party that would obviously generate a larger tip. By the time she came back, another server cleared our plates containing the bulk of our food. We honestly couldn't wait to leave.
