Our friends recommended this motel to us and we have had 3 very enjoyable stays twice in 08 and 09 . and we will be back in 2011.
The hotel has the perfect location and is literally just off the beach and not virtually as we have discovered can mean mile walk! one step off the deck and you are on the beach.
The rooms over the front are huge with kitchens and a raised deck -and are truly value for money.
The standard rooms are fine clean and totally adequate after all who goes to Florida to sit in their room -right?
we have talked to guests at the crest from all over the world and never heard one bad word well done owners Jack and Mary!

We have stayed at the Palm Crest for the first time and we loved it. In May the temperature was 90 degrees and Bay of Mexico water well over 80. Dolphins seen every day. Clean and quiet (some noise from the adjacent beach club but closing the windows cut the noise). This place was what we were looking for our Florida vacation and never we shall go again to the East Cost! Nice, clean, friendly quests and staff. The location could not be better!! Right on the beach. The pool large and warm. We will definitely return to the Palm Crest again. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have peace and rest.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights, it was FABULOUS! We arrived about an hour early and to our surprise our room was ready. We stayed in room #111; the room had a bathroom (tub/shower, toilet & sink), kitchenette (sink, 2 burner stove top, fridge and small microwave), 1 queen bed, couch, dining room table, dresser, night stand and an AWESOME air conditioner (it was actually quiet, most are VERY loud). The room was VERY clean, I brought Lysol just in case, but didn't feel the need to use it, the room was SPOTLESS! Keep in mind this is not a Marriot Hotel, so you will not find all the frills of a big chain hotel, but (I preferred the more relaxed atmosphere) you're paying alot less and actually getting the PEACE and QUIET that you're looking for. Everyone was very friendly. This hotel is right on the beach, with a pool and a nice courtyard area where you can use the hotels' grill. The beach views are amazing, crystal clear water and white sand, it doesn't get any better than that. There is a bar next door (Undertow Bar) which is the place to be, it was jammed packed every night. We ate at Undertow once while we were there and the Grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich was awesome ($8.50), it was a very large portion and their drinks were reasonable priced as well. This hotel is located near many restaurants, some within walking distance some you have to drive to, but its centrally located and you can drive to John's Pass (small town with a boardwalk full of shops & restaurants) in about 15-20 minutes. John's pass had a lot of shops and restaurants, we ate at "The Hut", it was good food, but expensive food & drinks. We are already planning our trip back to Palm Crest, we will become one of their MANY repeat guests! "We have found paradise!!!!"

I have been staying at The Palm Crest for 11 years. Most of my visits have been in November and February and it is the only place I want to stay on St. Pete Beach. The Palm Crest is run by Jack and his wife Mary along with a small staff. The rooms are clean and are well equipped with a refrigerator microwave, and range top. A couple of rooms even have ovens. The pool and deck area are kept spotless. The motel is small compared to some others on the beach but that is what we regulars like. For the last 6 years the same group of people has shared Thanksgiving, and it's like family. The motel is conveniently located near a Publix, Walgreens, CVS and other small shops. It is on the bus/trolley line so a car isn't even necessary. If you are looking for a motel on St. Pete Beach then look no further than The Palm Crest. You will enjoy your stay and be telling your friends about it too.

I stayed at Palm Crest at the end of September with my sister. We just wanted to get away and relax. Thats exactly what we did. It's a small motel right on the beach with lots to do within walking distance. Everything was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and they seem to have new windows in their rooms because it was very quiet at night. We had everything we needed to cook in our room and a grocery store is less than a mile down the road. The parking lot is small, enough for one car per room so keep that in mind. We really enjoyed our stay and went home very relaxed. We would highly recommend staying there and we will also be back

We have been going to the Palm Crest for 25 years. It is a very friendly place where people return year after year. We and our children have developed life-long friends after meeting at the Palm Crest. The rooms are a great value and mere steps to the pool, beach, and other amenities. The pool and lounging deck are directly on the beach, making for spectacular views. Jack does his very best to make everyone's stay pleasant and homey.

Have stayed at the Palm Crest every summer for 26 years. Jack is always friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and pool and surrounding area is one of the best on the beach! Many memories and lifelong friends have been made at the Palm Crest!
