Places was average, but service is poor. Room service must refer to many things such as cleaning, not just changing towels every two days sometimes. Be aware not to reserve too many days, nothing much to do in the area except the beach, because if you leave earlier than expected, Jack the owner will charge you for every nights even if the place is empty. Day by day is your best bet. If you are planing to go to bed early, be aware the nearby motel has a bar that close late at night with lots of Harley Davidson going in and out.

For 100$ per night, a 3 star Hotel in Tampa would have been a better choice for us to spend 12 days in the area with our 2 kids.

My daughter and I have been staying at this same hotel, year after year, for 12 years. We love the owners, the closeness to the beach, the pool and the "like home" feeling from the owner Jack, his family and many of the guests who stay here. It's only two hours from Disney, Seaworld and even closer to Busch Gardens. It's clean and quiet; if you are looking at a nice place to stay on a tight budget, this is it. I will keep coming back as long as I can.

We wanted some peace, relaxation and adult time after a week with Mickey. Having driven down to St Pete's with no expectations, we were happy to find Jack and his freindly staff and very freindly guests. The motel is small, tidy and right on the beach. We watched the most incredible lightening storm one night. Most of the guests are regulars, they go there for the beautiful long beach and warm sea and warm welcome. It didn't take long to unwind and my only regret is that I didn't stay longer. There is a bar next door, not a lot else within walking distance but its OK to take your own beer and sit by the pool if you choose to.

Loved the pool area and the ajoining white sandy beaches. Room#10 was small for a family of four (1 double bed and sofa sleeper). Decor could use updating. Faults: The air conditioner was smelly and there were TOO MANY ash trays on the property. A bar sits to the right of the motel. Occasionally, the bar music spoils the quiet, tranquil beach/pool atmosphere. The room's AC muffled the bar's night life.

I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Palm Crest Motel in St. Pete Beach, FL. It is a small property (18-19 rooms/units)that is clean and neat as a pin. The owner (Jack) was on site daily and took great care to make sure that everything was in order, from the appearance of the grounds to making sure that no one who was not registered at the motel did not park in the Motel parking lot.

Most of the units are on the ground floor, opening up onto a courtyard landscaped w/tropical type plants, with 2 or three units upstairs. The pool area (including a shaded porch-type structure) overlooks the beach; you walk from the pool area directly onto the beach. The Palm Crest Motel is approx. 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile north of the Don CeSar Resort in St. Pete Beach. Rates are extremely reasonable; I paid $79 per night for a studio room w/ King bed, small eating area and kitchen equipped w/ stove, utensils, pots, pans, refrigerator, which I thought was a great value for the July 4 Holiday located directly on the beach. Most all of the folks there were families w/children, everyone that I met was very nice/friendly. I met one family from Ohio that has been coming to this same property for 30 years. There was a gas grill that sat in the middle of the courtyard that guests could use. I was looking for a place that was quiet and friendly; I found these at the Palm Crest Motel.

We have stayed at the Palm Crest Resort Motel for the first time, we absolutely loved it. We had the most wonderful weather in January. This place was what we were looking for our Florida vacation. It was nice and clean, with friendly quests and staff. The location is perfect, right on the beach, very quaint and home like place. The pool was nice and warm, I think it was like 85 degrees. The owners that ran the place were most helpful and very pleasant people. We will definitely return to the Palm Crest again next year, we already made the reservations. We had one of the beach front units, the best view and the best room. I would recommend this place to anyone.
