Description: The Flying Bridge is quintessential Florida dining. From its origins as an authentic cracker cottage - the simple architectural style of the state's first settlers - to the fresh grouper sandwiches of its kitchen, the restaurant serves up an experience that you can't find outside of the Sunshine State. In warm weather, the restaurant's open-air feel gives you fresh gulf breezes and spectacular views of the beach with our meandering waterway running right beneath you. The all-day menu features a wide range of appetizers, salads, burgers, chicken and fresh seafood sandwiches. In the evenings, The Flying Bridge's extensive menu expands to include even more items, including fresh salmon, grouper, shrimp and other heavier dinner selections that you can enjoy while you watch the sun set over the horizon.

“Great Bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

We dropped in at 6:30 pm on July 13, 2012 and we're glad we did because we were served by Kathy Weber - she was SUPER and made our day notwithstanding a heavy thunderstorm.

Lots of larger than picture windows on the beach overlooking the Gulf. Bright with lots of elbow room. Reasonable prices and full service bar. FUN place. We did not eat but the food looked really good and they were serving lots of it.

“Great for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

Fish tacos, chicken fajita wrap, kids hot dog and chicken were all good. Nice location and convenient place to eat outside when you've come in from the beach. Sand and beachwear welcome.

“The fish chowder is to die for!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012 via mobile

While staying at the Tradewinds for a conference, we decided to try the Flying Bridge for a quick lunch. The weather was perfect so we sat outside looking at the beach. We were promptly attended by our friendly waitress. When I inquired about the soup of the day, she immediately recommended the house fish chowder. Well, this fish chowder was better than any clam chowder I have ever had!!! It had chunks of grouper and fish.... AMAZING!!! A must if you are in the area.
