Description: A Casual Dining restaurant with a focus on fresh ingredients located on St. Pete Beach. Serving BREAKFAST, lunch, dinner and late night. Plenty of outdoor seating on the patio, and indoor seating, air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. Serving fresh seafood, and home-made chicken, pork and beef selections, all prepared fresh, by hand, specifically for you. Sauces, vegetables and mixed dishes prepared daily, in-house, and always from fresh ingredients. The friendly staff, and regular local crowd, make it a fun place to hang out. With a full-service bar, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at the bar, there is something for everyone. The restaurant is family friendly, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area.

Had dinner and drinks at Rick's Reef a few times in February at it was very near our hotel. I found the place too dimly lit, but hey, it's a bar after all too. They serve beer ice cold every time and have one the best crab cakes in town.

Limited dinner menu, but they have a wide selection of appetizers. The Gator Legs, which are actually pork shank pieces, were oh so tender and yummy. Surprised that they had potstickers too (aren't these Chinese?), which turned out quite good, but disappointed with the Mac & Cheese (too rich I couldn't finish it), and the Reef Shrimps which was drowning in oil.

Service pretty good, staff quite pleasant. They have outdoor seating for smokers. Also nice souvenir t-shirts on sale.

Walked down to Rick's from our hotel. All the restaurants on Gulf Boulevard are easy access by walking, even in your middle age. Got there about 9 a.m. on a Monday morning. Practically had the place to ourselves. Carrie met us at the door. Very friendly. Seated by the windows. Husband ordered the $2.99 breakfast, I ordered a classic bennie. Both came with a side of grits. We're from up North and don't see this on menus. They were definitely the star of the show. Benedict was good but would ask for less Hollandaise sauce. Carrie made my guy a fresh pot of decaf. He went back to look at T shirts and struck up a conversation with a guy our age that works there. Gosh he was friendly and great to talk to about his career. I've got to say the food was almost perfect, the weather was great, and the service awesome. $2.00 Bloody Mary's small but very good.

Not a good place to visit if you're looking for yummy food on the beach. Over-fried food with a bland taste. The fries were almost black. I would not recommend this place.

We were pulled in by the $2.00 Bloody Mary's It was a rainy day so we stayed half the day. Because it was fun meeting the many locals that frequent their. Rick has the smoker going early and when things were done he would pass out samples of what they had done. Drinks are very reasonable and the food fantastic. We wanted to go back but the weather changed so we stayed on the beach. Next time I go to the Tampa area we are going back!

Restaurant was not full however the wait commenced after we ordered. Party of four. Two chicken sandwiches. A fish taco and a buffalo shrimp appetizer. We ordered a Mac and chews app they completely forgot about. Skip this spot. Plenty of others as we have a home In the area. Don't let this restaurant give you a bad taste of st. Petersburg.
