I as well as my family LOVED everything during our stay. We were most pleased at the employees way of making us feel rite at home. Especially, Elisha, Derrick,Claudia,Joe and Janet. We would recommend your site to all who are traveling to the area. Kudos are in order for the staff and the resort.

I will have to say this was an awesome beach resort. It had almost everything we were looking for. It was on the beach, had multiple pools, and several dining options to choose from. There was even a large slide as part of the resort fee. The negatives were the price at nearly $300 night for a pretty small room. It was pretty crowded at all times, and the check-in/out was kind of hectic. Everyone I encountered was very helpful though, and some even remembered my name after only one encounter. I was impressed. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: You might choose the other Tradewinds resort a couple of buildings down (Island Grand, I think). Th...

Our stay was great! We enjoyed many of the resort perks and ate all but one meal at the resort. The food was good and reasonably priced. My family loved having a cabana to rest in while a the beach. The hotel room had a microwave that was great for leftovers and popcorn! The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean.

The Guy Harvey resort was fun and relaxing. The staff, right from the beginning, made us feel welcomed and comfortable. It is centrally located for food, shopping etc. if needed but the resort offers all the amenities. The rooms were clean, colorful and comfortable.

The staff at the Guy Harvey Outpost were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The resort is a nice place. The weather was bad for our week stay and the front desk girl gave us a refund of some of the resort fee. We walked up to the Grande Island Resort and I was soooo glad that we picked the Guy Harvey instead. It was crowded at the Grande Island resort and their were small children in the adult pool every time I went there. I have teen children, but when you are on vacation you shouldn't have to be in the adult area and listen to screaming children that are not yours. The cabanas were nice, but got flooded out by the dirty water being pumped down to the beach by the Howard Johnson hotel next door.

Room Tip: I picked the Gulf suite to see the beautiful sunsets, but it rained every evening! I would not want...

Stayed for a week, which was plenty of time to get your fill of st Pete beach. Fun was had at Dali museum, devil rays game, playing on the Shelly beach. Beach towels were lovely and thick, not threadbare. Free cabanas were excellent, and the water slide was fun, bouncy castle for adults. Cleaning staff were unintrusive and the aveda products were beautiful. Meals were standard buffet style, but the Mexican lunch was outstanding. A superb resort free from all the stuffy pretence, easy to be barefoot here.

Room Tip: We had a courtyard suite, with a full fridge and cooktop. We didn't have to go out every night...

We chose to stay at the Guy Harvey Outpost because of the smaller size. The resort was excellent. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. We brought our dog along and the pet friendly rooms are very nice. If you're looking for a more relaxing stay than the massive Island Grande Resort, give the Guy Harvey Outpost a chance.
