I just love this resort! This was my second visit here. The staff is very nice, the pools, the beach, just everything is great. This time we just had a standard room with two beds, it did have a little kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, little sink, and a set a dishes for four people. The room also had a safe. There are great places to eat, on the beach make sure to try Jimmy B's a few hotels down. There is a 7 Eleven across the street, if you would like to purchase things for your cooler, or you could take the free shuttle up to the Publix grocery store if you are going to be there a while and you don't have a car. They provide towels for the pool area. You can't go wrong at this resort, i will be returning here every time I go to St. Pete's Beach.

Overall: this is a great place right on the beach with kitchenette rooms. We has fantastic weather wach day fpr swimming and beachcombing. The water was safe and warm wirh a little sandbar  about 20 feet out; very shallow at low tide and excellent for shelling. We found many fiddler crabs in there shells this way to our 4yr olds delight (threw back of course). We took a nice day trip to De Soto park ad well which was very close and beautiful; we will camp here in a couple of years. Many grocery, pharmacy, resteraunt options just behind hotel. Only drawback was layout of the rooms. We had a "1 bedroom" kitchen suite, but the only door opened into the bedroom rather than the living area/kitchen. So we had to put our baby to sleep in the bedroom (at about 6pm) and the rest of us had to stay in the othet room for rest of the night, and sleep on the horrible spfa bed. Also , no balcony, just sliding windows; the balcony would be nice for living space. We will look for a place with better layout and balcony next time. However, overall, nice resort and great location.

My husband and I have been coming to this hotel twice a year for the past 4 years, and I have only the best experience each time. The staff is always exceptional and goes above and beyond for you, they have complementary cabannas on the beach for you, as well as, maid service that comes daily and cleans very well. You get some many amenities with the price of this hotel it's unbelievable. This hotel is by far the beast place to stay if you want first class service and a peaceful trip.

Spent a long weekend at the Sandpiper. No spectacular but solid, good service, comfortable, clean, in good conditiion. Called ahead to arrange champagne and roses for wife. They took care of details perfectly. Adults only pool was really nice. Both adult and family pools are a little small but we never felt crowded. Food service limited to one location here, but full restaurants available at Grand Island a short walk away. Beach was really nice too. Rooms were comfortable. Had a small problem with plumbing and staff responded very quickly. "Resort fee" covers parking, internet, pool towels, etc. Wish they would just roll in to price, but it's a competitive thing, I suppose. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: For special occasions, tell them.

From the moment I checked in everything was great. Everyone was friendly and professional, from the front desk to the shop staffs to the maintenance people...very impressive. The room was ready for me early...very nice island decor...good size...and very clean. Right on the beach...it doesn't get much better than that. Great amenities too...beach cabanas, towels, in room mini-bar, in room mini-kitchen. All at a reasonable price. Best part - separate adult and kids' swimming areas...thank you.

I plan on returning!

Room Tip: Almost every room has a pool or beach view.

We stayed in a suite which overlooked the gulf. Great view! The suite was big enough for a family of four. The kitchen included enough that we only had to eat out once a day. We loved the cabanas on the beach. The customer service from all the staff was excellent. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Fabulous place. Stay at the Sandpiper if you are single. Less families and kids. Staff was super friendly. Great price. And you can get there early and use the amenities and when you check out you can do the same. Be sure to tip your cabana guy :)
