“No dolphins:(”
Reviewed April 21, 2011

We got couopons on living social, so our tickets were half price. I would have been upset if we would have paid full price. It was disappointing since we didn't see ANY dolphins or manatees. I understand that they can't guarantee sightings, but 2 hours of nothing. Kids were bored, as well as my hubby. The sailboat was nice, although you don't go very fast since you stay right inside the bay. Disappointing overall. Just be prepared that you may not see dolphins.

“Sunset Sailing”
Reviewed May 31, 2010

One evening in May this year we went on a suset sail from Dolphin Landings. The trip lasted for just over 2 hours with 15 people on the boat. The cost was $35 per person and this included free soft drinks, you could take your own wine etc with you if you wished. This was a lovely way to spend a warm Florida evening and seeing the sun go down over the Gulf of Mexico. The lovely lady in the booking office was so helpful and the 2 guys on the boat were marvellous. There was a mixture of young people and oldies on our trip so this kind of evening is for most ages who want a peaceful evening. We would definately go again in the future.

“A Great Afternoon trip with the Dolphins!”
Reviewed March 15, 2010

Looking for something that would entertain an adult and 12 year old? How about a boat ride looking for dolphins? Dolphin Landings Charter Boat Center is where we went and it was an excellent choice.

First, Capt. Barry and Cathy explained that it is a 99% probability that we will see dolphins. As they explain, this ain't Seaworld and these are wild dolphins. Well, this is better than Seaworld. Cathy saw a dolphin and we got close and then his 4 friends joined. We followed them as it looked like they were feeding off a school of fish. IT WAS AWESOME!!! My nephew and sister were so excited - - me too! This was about 1 hour of the trip, perhaps more. They jumped in and out of the water, flipped on their back and came close to the boat. Then we sailed around the bay looking at the houses...$5 million for a house without a pool? HUH?

Then Capt. Barry allowed my nephew to 'drive' the boat. He was so excited and relaxed. He looked like he was a natural. Barry and Cathy were wonderful and it was worth every cent! Yes, you get free water and soda but you also get excellent trip and great company!

“A sunset you won't forget!”
Reviewed October 4, 2009

My wife and I went on the sunset sailing trip that lasted two hours. We had Captain Joe and Julie, both of them were very friendly and helpful. This was by far one of the best attractions we have ever done while on vacation. The sunset was unforgettable. The price is well worth it! They provide a cooler with pop and water but you can bring your own drinks as well. We saw several dolphins while on the boat. Excellent way to spend your evening!

“Unbeatable Sunset Cruise”
Reviewed June 19, 2009

We received free tickets to the cruise from our hotel as part of our package. After using the free tickets to the Clearwater Aquarium (bust!), we were skeptical. We decided before we arrived that if this looked as sketchy as the the other freebie from our hotel that we would just go have a drink and go home. Boy were we surprised!

We sailed on the 46' Fantasea with 10 other couples and the crew of two. From beginning to end we were catered to and treated to a great experience. It was awesome as they raised the three sails and the wind powered us out to sea. The drawbridge raising as we passed under was pretty sweet too!

The trip was smooth while we were in the bay (which is about 90% of the trip) and bit choppier out in the open water. It was a great way to see some of the sights and get away from the hustle and bustle at the resort. The sunset was beautiful and the ambient music added to the experience.

My only knock on the experience is that it was BYOB. My idea of a romantic cruise isn't some dude sucking down Busch Light, but it was happening. A nice bottle of wine for each couple would be a GREAT upgrade, but the fact that they fetched our drinks from the cooler made it a bit better, I suppose.

Overall, this was an unbeatable experience. Quiet, romantic, beautiful...don't pass on an opportunity to join them on an evening cruise!

Oh yeah, and seeing dolphins swimming in your wake is pretty sweet too! :)
