I stay in this hotel for one week after I spent one week in SandPiper resort in St. Pete Beach, and The Baywiew Plaza Waterfront Resort was more low in price, and in better location, allways quiet, no lifts and elevators, no crowds of people like in big hotels, cozy athmosphere, if You would like to be away from crowds of people. I had no car with me, and was just 1 minute to seacoast, in front of hotel you can buy good italian bread, 5 minutes walk to Publix store, and one block to walk to nice old pub Drunken Clam, where from thursday till sadurday from 9:15 P.M. is perfect live music and not so much tourists. Best cheap choice in St. Pete Beach!

Family owned and operated. They treat you like your family. Three hotels to choose from and share the amenities. Great fishing on the docks or in the gulf off the beach. You never know what you will catch or hook up on. Great family place and I am in the motel busi in New Jersey. Good food and shopping close by. 7 days goes too fast. comming back again.

This is a great place for anyone that is looking for a small clean property in where you can just relax. I think there are only 7 rooms here, most with private balconies overlooking the water. We had room #16, the room was on the ground floor with a king bed, with a patio that opened to the water. The room was not very large, but for two people it was fine, the kitchen was also nice. We saw many pelican, blue herons, gray herons, seagulls, wild parrots, and many fish jumping out of the water. There were a few people fishing and catching any fish, but I don’t know what kind of fish. When all is said and done, we enjoyed ourselves very much, doing nothing but relaxing in the sun, reading a book, and bird watching.
If you are looking for a large resort with many activities, this is not the place for you. But if you just want to get away from everything and looking for a small quite place, I highly recommend the Bayview Plaza Resort on St Pete Beach

My husband and I choice this place for our honeymoon. We can say it was one the best places I ever been. It was relaxing, quiet, cozy. Although we didn't have the view of beach, but we had the view of the bay with wildlife and seeing the dolphins was awsome. We had a full kitchen with pots/pans plates and utensils everything we needed was included in the room so you can cook whenever. Also you had access to a charcoal grill, pool, free wireless internet, access to the other resorts, access to pool towels and beach towels, free dvd and dvd player for your room. The room was nice, room was always clean. The staff were excellent, very friendly, and attentive. Since we were staying at the Bayview Resort the beach was within walking distance. Everything was within walking distance, the Publix and many Restaurant are within walking distance. Also if you don't have car don't worry. St. Pete Beach has trolley system that can take you up and down the beach, you can get trolley pass for only $4.00 for the whole day. Also you can rent bicycles and it was not expensive at all. Overall this place was excellent and my husband and I will definitely wil go back. We had a great time.

I have stayed at the Plaza Beach Resort since 1972, and always enjoyed my visits. This year an opportunity came about and due to popularity at the the Plaza Beach Resort I ended up staying at the Bayview Plaza Waterfront Resort. Naturally I fell in love with the channel side due to the wildlife and more quiet moments. Not all of them quiet because we all became animated watching the two manatee that spent an afternoon feeding in the channel. One of the days was very calm and all at once their were many schools of fish and later two dolphins came in for feeding and we experienced a show that can't be beat. Thanks for a wonderful experience and friendly vacation. The people we met were pleasant as well as the staff and Resort management. Everyone involved with all three resorts are to be commended for all of their hard work to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable.

This small hotel is owned by the same family who also own the well-reviewed Plaza Beach hotel right on St Pete Beach down a block across the street, as well as the not-so-great Palm View Hotel next door. It's older, but has been updated and is kept scrupulously clean. Our room #21 had a fantastic view of the tops of palm trees swaying a few feet away in the breezes and the sky. A sliding glass door opened up to a nice-sized private deck with table, chairs and even loungers. The tiny kitchenette was fine for our needs, stocked with dishes, pots and silverware. The closet and bureau were larger than expected. In short, it felt like a slice of relaxing heaven. It's not fancy or new, but you can't do better for $139 in high season in St Pete Beach. (We booked via TrilpAdvisor's Hotels.com hotlink.)

However, although we booked all six days of our trip for the same room, the front desk told us when we arrived that we would be moved to the Palm View next door for the final two nights of our stay. I was too tired to argue, but I should have. Rooms at the Palm View (see my review) were not remotely as nice. It was a disappointing downgrade and the unpleasant service at the time left a nasty taste in our mouths. (The desk clerk told me to breathe deeply so I would calm down - trust me, I was fairly calm already but that annoyed me! Plus when the clerks moved our luggage to wait for us to the new room which was right next to the busiest street and sidewalk in town, they left the door unlocked!) The desk clerks complained because we'd used a booking site to get the rooms instead of booking direct, which I consider in poor taste because they rely on booking sites in the off-season and selling rooms at a lower price during high season is the business cost of that. It's uncool and tacky to complain to customers.

Regarding location: Public beach access is across the street. At the back of the hotel is a quiet bay with a nice fishing dock and a smallish charcoal grill. There's a large drug store a few steps away, as well as a Public supermarket on the next block down. You can walk to plenty of restaurants and there's a cheap ($4 day) trolley system stop a few steps away you can use to get downtown to the Dali Museum, etc. You don't need a car. The local taxi service will take you to the Tampa airport for $51.
