Well it's that time of the year again for a vacation. Time to visit my room at the Bayview Plaza for year number 12. Wow it has a new paint job and new lighting some new carpentry a BIG BIG BIG flat screen tv, New ac unit. they improved an already nice room for the better.

Outside we have a newly designed tile stone patio, pool area, additional docks all the comforts to do nothing but RELAX and soak up the sun.

OOPs its 4:00 Cocktail Hour at the main hotel The Plaza Beach, Free, and to meet the other guests
get to know the other familys on vacation.

Back at the bay view, We meet the same family as last year when we stayed here. Nice the see you again Steve and Kim.

Fishing every day sometimes twice a day. Grouper about 12 lbs. and cat fish and mutton and spotted sea trout (weak fish for you northerners) pompanow and snook some guy even hooked up on a dolphin by mistake.

weather is great, 85/65 sometimes a little windy but the sun is HOT HOT HOT!

There is an inlet about 1 mile down the road in Pass A Grille go there to fish at least once.

Come here, enjoy yourself, relax and shed a tear when you must leave. Family treating you like Family
thats how it is. I already booked 2013 and extended it by 4 days. Can't get enough of this place.

I must admitt I put on 8lbs by eating at all the great restuarants in the area You gota go to PJ"S Oyster Bar at 7500 Gulf Blvd. Best Burgers and Crabs ever.!

Room Tip: They all are good it's just what you want to see out the window.

My wife and I just spent 2 nights @ The Bayview Plaza ans were thoroughly impressed. We' ve stayed at The Siraty, The Grand Plaza, and TheBeachcomber. We will definitly stay At The Bayview Plaza before any of the others.. We loved being on the bay. It was nice and quiet but we still had a water view. The happy hour was a very nice touch. The staff was very nice. Thank you Bayview........

Room Tip: Bayside balcony was AWESOME!!!!!!!!

My family and I just returned from the Bayview Plaza, RIGHT on the bay, directly accross from St. Petersburgh beach. It is NOT a full service resort, it does not deserve the name "motel" but it is more along those lines. The rooms have been very tastefully redone. They are spotless! The backyard is GORGEOUS! Beautiful view of the bay, extensive decking, again in immaculate condition, one of the most peaceful settings I have ever experienced. The pool though simple, was maitained to perfection, both cleanliness and temperature. The property is quiet but the main resorts with beach bars are just accross the street, you can go over there, have a drink, enjoy the sunset and then come back home! I also happen to be a travel agent and would highly reccommend this property,

This was my 3rd stay at the Bayview Plaza. The rooms are very clean. The Bay side is my favorite it feels more private and quiet. Love sitting on the dock enjoying the wildlife and the view. The staff are very friendly and helpful. So many things to do within walking distance. Love the italian deli next door and Gigi's. Can't wait to return, I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

My wife and I, seniors, spent a week here in March, 2012. It was an old motel whose rooms were recently extensively renovated. We were very happy with all aspects of our room, #714, and would readily chose it again should we return to the area. Initially we were concerned since the room was on the ground floor overlooking the car parking area on the north side. However, this was never a problem. The large windows were fitted with special panes that prevented people outside seeing in at any time of the day or night thus permitting the curtains to be left open and allowing lots of welcome light into the room. Some of our most pleasant hours were spent sitting out on the dock overlooking the channel and watching the birds and fish in action. We also walked in the surf, on the beautiful beach, every evening as the sun went down. There was an easy public access laneway to the beach immediately opposite the hotel. The maid service was excellent and the staff, who were located at the main hotel, were courteous and helpful at all times. Parking space was tight but was never a problem even when the hotel was full. We ate at local restaurants and recommend Gigi's next door, Village Inn and Crabby Bill's both of which are within walking distance.
