Very good! All in all, it is not a fine dining place but definitely one of the best in its league. The food is pretty good, the beer is cold and the musicians play pretty decent tunes. Their little Spanish style hors d'oeuvres called "tapas" are awesome! The service is prompt and courteous and the prices are reasonable. Ruthie, the owner, cares a lot about her customers, making sure that everyone is happy. I'll probably be back there with my g/f once she comes back to town.

They have a really interesting eclectic menu. Food is beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. I had the fish tacos good textures (fish, slaw, creamy avocado, corn tortillas, and aioli) and flavors and just enough heat.

I give this 5 stars for what it is...a really high end TAPA's restaurant with an up-scale bar-like atmosphere...perfect for an evening where you just want to kick back, relax, have some small (although the term small is relative...some of the TAPA's dishes could be a meal), different samplings of really tasty food, maybe hear some classy live music (the night we were there Stacey Knights was playing...awesome), have a cocktail or two and "Chill" with your spouse, significant other and/or friends. Kids could get by in here as while the service and food are up-scale...well "Chill". A family run business with perhaps one of your waiters a member of the family. Ask for Dorothy and if she is around she'll come out and give you the history. A GREAT place, right off of Gulf Blvd....gotta give it a go. You won't be disappointed!!

In the past we have enjoyed eating at Steam when we were at the beach. We walked in and the cozy coffee shop atmosphere has been replaced with a bar and more formal seating for Chill. We were looking for a drink and muffin to go. We were seated and I was disappointed in the pricing,
It was quite expensive for breakfast. We ordered the muffin like we usually do but they were either stale or the recipe has changed. The muffins were cold, dry and crumbly and not as flavorful as I remembered them to be. The $5 breakfast is a good deal, nice potatoes, eggs and fruit.
After we ordered I learned that there is a bakery called Rise that is in nearby shopping center that offers bakery items. I wish that would have know before...
Our server was nice but none of the staff seemed warm and friendly like I remembered it used to be. It seemed a little too uppity, especially for breakfast.

Things have changed since our last visit. But it is still fabulous. We did happy hour (and there was live music on a Wed). Four tapas - goat cheese, dates, stuffed olives and expresso beef. The only disappointment was we couldn't eat more. Three of us were full. Sit where you can watch preparation. It's a treat!
