Steam and Chill is the name of this restaurant rather than just Chill as listed here. Steam began as a coffee/muffin shop and grew quickly into full breakfast. But don't expect the typiclal bacon and eggs. You won't get that here. Fabulous homemade muffins, but get there early. They go fast and when they are gone, there's no more. Great eggs benedict, crepes, and other treats for breakfast.
In no time, expansion was needed and Chill came into being by opening the wall and including the space next door. Lunch and dinner always offer at least one homemade soup; meals are tapas portions. We always order several and share. Don't go here if you are in a hurry, It's a place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, food, and music on the weekends, Sit at the bar and watch the chef prepare your meal.
We eat there as often as we can.

Jazz, and one of the few cool places on the beach. Live music but extremely crowded and loud for a jazz place but if you go during the week probably better.

We were looking for a late dinner and found this restaurant by accident - after we had passed it a number of times during the day thinking nothing of it.

What a surprise! Chef Jackie turns out some amazing dishes in that small area next to the bar... So we went back, and we went back and had happy conversations and tastings of what was good in the market.... We like restaurants were you can go and ask what you should eat that day.

It's informal and it's better value than most of the restaurants we went to that week.

That doesn't make it perfect but in an area where we didn't think we would have an innovative meal this tapas bar (well, the portions are more than tapas-size) was quite a find...

We were on a girls weekend staying at the Don Cesar. We were dropped off for dinner by free beach ride (kind of like a cab except there is no charge - they work for tips only) at a local bar/restaurant. It wasn't exactly what we were looking for. So we walked up the street and came upon Chill. They were very welcoming as we looked over the menu and we decided to give it a try. It started off great with a testing of the four sangria's they make from scratch. We decided on the chai sangria which was out of this world. They also have a very decent wine list. The food is served tapas style so we were able to sample several different dishes. They were all outstanding. We had stuffed olives, spinach and artichoke dip, baked brie, a chicken and a steak dish, chocolate cake, and several other delicious dishes. Although some of the dishes looked familiar, they were far above any we had ever had before elsewhere. We also tried some new dishes too. Each dish came out when it was ready and we spent half of the night saying yum and ummm and this is so good! Each dish was just as good as the last. Also, we found the prices to be very reasonable. We met the owners, a lovely couple who started by opening the coffee shop next door (Steep). Their daugher was the chef and their son was our waiter. It was the best meal of our trip and we raved about it the next day. Give it a try! I'm sure you'll find it outstanding and probably the best meal of your visit to St. Pete Beach!

We decided to drive out to the beach to try this place and were delighted w the chef and the food we ordered.
Tasty sangria, wonderful salad of fresh ingredients and spinach and fig tapas and hogfish over pasta
For dessert we had the s'mores
We will definitely return to try more of the
Chefs creations.
