If you like a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with personal touch from the caretaker's crew, look no further. This was our 5th stay and one of the best. After traveling the coast, we decided to end our vacation here for 5 days. I breathed a sign of relief as we walked through the door. Everything was wonderful. The rooms are exceptionally clean, with daily housekeeping and fresh bed linens, as needed. Read through the other great reviews. They are honest and most of us cannot tell you enough of the great attributes.
My husband and I still prefer to shop at Publix & Shaner's Land and Sea Market, and then cook ourselves, in the tiny, fully stocked kitchen. We love to hang out around the inn and beach. Close by is Fort Desoto, where you can rent a canoe and see the manatees. It is a magical place.
And at the end of our stay, when we needed boarding passes printed, Eddie took a few minutes out of his busy day to help.
The beach offers plenty of beautiful shells, wildlife, water sports and sunsets. And memories that last through the cold months. Go and enjoy!

We stayed at the Havana (sister of the Coconut Inn) for 2 nights on 30 and 31/10/13. It was wonderful - beach just over the road and 2 bathrooms. Pass a Grille is a down to earth area - no hotels just a few guest house type things (UK readers will know what I mean) and the Havana has that type of feel. Two bedded apartment - washer, drier, kitchen and 2 terraces - one for sunrise and one for sunset! Fantastic. Could be more modern I guess but then the essence and feel of the place would be lost. The staff are so laid back it is great and are happy to let you take their chairs to the beach, use the bbq's and use the pool at Coconut which is just across the street. Lovely to wake up and watch the pelicans fly over the beach. We missed the dolphins when we were there - shame because they are there quite often I believe. This makes a fantastic break fro the theme parks of Orlando and is only abut 20 miles from Tampa if you are going to Busch Gardens. Cant recommend it enough. We had dinner at the Wharf and Sea Critters Café - fantastic fresh food - both of those deserve a 5 star recommendation as well.

We have stayed at the Coconut Inn on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean and Eddie and his crew make sure you are taken care of. We enjoy the pool after a day on the beach. Perfect way to end the day. The beach is the perfect spot to unwind and feel like you are in paradise. Can't wait to go back!!!! Thank you Eddie and the rest of the crew at the Coconut Inn for making us feel welcome.
