“Affordable Family Orientated "Gem" in St Pete, Fl”

We came here for a wedding and came a week early to relax as our Belgium cousins came for the wedding too and we wanted to do some fun things with them. The Bridge had secured a block of rooms and by mid week we pretty much occupied the whole resort. The new owners worked so hard to resolve any problems, always a great attitude--made you feel really welcomed and that they wanted you to enjoy yourself! Even put up signs on the gates reminding people to close them as there children in the area. The pool is the perfect temperature and with the tables and chairs by your poolside room or in the pool area, we could all mingle, talk and enjoy ourselves while watching the kids swim. The internet service (free!) was actually pretty great! I loved sitting by the pool catching up with emails. Rooms were a good size and even the ones still in process of "updating" were great! We loved having a grill by pool to cook out! Free van ride (just tip) to nearby beaches or St. John's Pass for some shopping. Loved the affordability!

Room Tip: Ask for a poolside room for great relaxing evening events. Great restaurants and grocery store in wa...

This place is a a gem. We invaded it for a wedding that was within walking distance. We were scheduled to stay 5 days and 4 nights but added an extra night at the end because we were enjoying ourselves.
The staff was helpful in getting us the room that fit our family best and to resolve any issues we had throughout our stay.
We cooked out by the pool saving a ton of money by having a kitchenette to prepare our meals. There is restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance.
The pool area was the kids favorite and it was so nice to be able to entertain so many in one location.
Wishing we were there right now!

Room Tip: Being by the pool was the best for our family of 5.

I live in the area but stayed at the resort to make thing easier for my friend's wedding. I am already planning a future visit. This is definitely my number one spot for any get away I'm in the mood for. Steps from the beach without the traffic (vehicle and pedestrian) or price. Fun, well kept pool area that made family gatherings easy especially with a bunch of kids in the mix. Honeymoon suite for my friend and her husband was perfect and would be ideal fro a couples get away at any time. All the other rooms were spacious, well kept and gave the feeling of a beach house rather than motel/hotel by far. Staff was beyond helpful with anything that was needed and did an amazing job of keeping everything stocked and clean. They were there any time we needed anything but also scarce enough to never intrude on the "vacation" many of us were enjoying. I live less than 5 miles away but will be booking this place as a personal "get away" and I'm already planning a large friend/family gathering at the resort as well. Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is!

I spent the better part of a week at this resort with my family, which took up just about the entire place. The new owners and staff were extremely pleasant and unbelievably accommodating. The rooms were very clean and the pool was great. Not only did they cater to our every need, but they did it with a smile. My husband and I are definitely planning a return trip!

My husband and I got married on St Pete Beach last Friday. We had quite a few family members and friends that stayed at the hotel with us. I think in total we had 24 out of 26 rooms. I'll just start from the top with how awesome this place is:

We originally booked 20 of the 26 rooms. In March the OLD owners managed to double book the only two bedroom apartment to both my parents and his step mom and her family. They also double booked SEVEN of our rooms for 5 nights! In order to accommodate us they gave his step mom two rooms for the price of one. They also contacted the person who was double booked and PAID for his rooms elsewhere. Now, that may not sound like much but when you consider 7 beach hotel rooms for 5 nights it definitely adds up! They didn't have to do any of it. They could have very easily been jerks about it and said we were SOL for those rooms since it was done before they took over. At this time they had only owned the place for two weeks. However, they went out of their way to accommodate us.

Bruce and Diane, the new owners, are great! Bruce was a GM for the Hyatt in St Pete prior to buying Blind Pass so he knows all about great customer service and what it takes to run a great hotel. Diane was incredibly helpful and patient with everyone and everything!

When the first of the guests arrived the Saturday prior to the wedding they sprang into action with anything that needed to be done. The AC was on the fritz in one room so they upgraded them to another room until it was fixed. Also, one of the guest booked a room with a crib for her infant. Well, as luck would have it the old owners didn't actually have one that was in good use. Bruce went out that morning and bought a brand new one so that it would be there when we got back. Keep in mind, they were still trying to correct everything the old owners let go so they were facing a full hotel and troubleshooting as they went.

The pool is a great place to hang out! We pretty much lived there from the day the first group checked in until the Sunday following the wedding, eight days later. It has a great area with a few tables, several chairs and a charcoal grill to use. The pool has a great little waterfall at the end of it with a ledge to sit. If you sit on the ledge you'll find the water jets behind the waterfall .. just a tip ;-). The pool doesn't get any deeper than 5 ft so it's great to just hang out and relax in. It was the perfect temp too .. I was fully expecting to be freezing when I got in, but found out that is actually heated year round! Between our friends and family I'm certain there was always someone in the pool from sunup to past sundown.

We had the honeymoon suite which was the size of a small apartment. It had one bedroom and two full baths. The main bathroom had a large jacuzzi to soak in. I personally never got to enjoy because I was going 90 to nothing the whole time we were there, but my husband did and he liked it. There are more closets in there than you can imagine which is perfect for a weeks worth of clothes for two plus wedding stuff! The room has a great living room area just as you walk in with a brand new couch, a couple chairs, dresser and nice TV.. (The old couch was a sofa bed but Bruce couldn't understand why you would want someone to sleep on your sofa during your honeymoon lol. I agree!!) The kitchen comes stocked with dishes, glasses and flatware for your use. That was perfect for us because while we thought to bring our own food, we forgot everything else. The bedroom has a large dresser, a closet and a nice TV as well. I'm pretty picky about beds but I had no problems with this one.

Everyday they stopped by the pool to check on everyone and see if we needed anything. They even made rounds before they left for the evening just to make sure there wasn't something we needed. Nicole, one of the front desk clerks, was so sweet. Anytime she saw us walking around she would say Hey and ask how everything was going. Amanda, one of the housekeepers, was so attentive and friendly. She went out of her way more than once to help us out. They even let one of our cousins stay in his room even though he had already checked out because his flight didn't leave until 5 hrs later. We thought we had lost something so they went so far out of their way to help us that they actually looked in the dumpsters in the hotel area. (It ended up just having gone home with the wrong family member.) No one once complained about anything we asked for .. they all took care of us .. all 43 of us .. with a smile on their face. They genuinely wanted to help us.

Diane came by our room the morning of the wedding to give us a bottle of champagne for the wedding. She said they wanted to make sure we enjoyed our wedding .. which we did!

There really is nothing I can say bad about this place! I think the only bad thing was actually having to check out! Several of our party have already said they are going to go back. As a matter of fact, we decided to end our honeymoon there so we're headed back in a few days!! The new owners have REALLY turned this place around. You absolutely can't beat it for the location and price. It's calm, cool and quiet .. unless you have 20 kids like we did LOL

P.S. There is a great little diner called Gayle's Kitchen on Pasadena a couple blocks down. We ate breakfast there quite a bit. It has really great prices and an awesome old fashioned BLT! Cash only

Sea Critters Cafe, which is partnered with Blind Pass actually, is great too. They are really popular and get busy quick at night so go early evening or lunch if you want to beat the rush!

Room Tip: The rooms in the courtyard are a little larger than the poolside rooms. None of the rooms were cramp...

For my daughters wedding we booked all but two of their rooms for 5 days and 4 nights. We had people always needing (or wanting) something and kids running everywhere. The owners and staff kept us supplied in towels, clean sheets, ice - you name it, they provided it - always with a smile. Very possibly the cleanest motel/hotel we have ever stayed in. The beach was only 2 blocks away giving great access without all the noise and traffic that is usually at a beachfront resort. Already planning another stay at Blind Pass.

Room Tip: The two bedroom, two bath corner room is perfect for families. Honeymoon suite was phenomenal.

We stayed at Blind Pass for my son's wedding, as did most of the wedding party and guest. It was wonderful! The place is so quaint and personal. The staff was friendly and helpful in any way they could be. We could all gather together in several places around the resort and just talk and have fun. The pool area, of course, was the main gathering place. Both the children and adults enjoyed themselves immensely in the clean, well kept pool. It would be a wonderful place for a family reunion or any get together .
