“Best Resort on St. Pete Beach!”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

Our family stayed at the Sirata Beach Resort for Spring Break! What an amazing place worth every penny! We stayed in a studio room which was huge, immaculate along with a great view! Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! This is a great destination for families, couples or just a girls getaway...5 stars for sure and will be back soon!

Located on sugar-white beach, gorgeous palm trees swaying in the breeze~ Floridian architecture well designed landscape and grounds ~ this resort offers relaxation, entertainment, in a something-for-everyone venue. We came straight from the airport (no need for a car- the resort includes everything) and stayed in a beautiful suite on the 5th floor of Building 4 overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Across the resort we found the service to be friendly and high quality- from check-in/concierge to housekeeping, restaurant wait-staff to beach services, everyone was positive, helpful and very polished! Truly a beach RESORT and I would return in a heartbeat. (The wifi was tricky, but IT responded right away and solved the issue easily and with aplomb!)

Don't miss this quality gem for your winter get-away!

Room Tip: Higher floors have spectacular Gulf views and suites include kitchenette.

Really? Most places I've stayed in the past couple years have provided free wifi. Sirata charges $10/day...NOT. Especially not since the parking was an additional $8/night. We've stayed at other beach resorts in St. Pete Beach and weren't charged for either one. Our room was updated, lovely and clean. From the 5th floor even though we overlooked the parking lot we still had a peek a boo view of the water. I liked the beach tiki bar, had some drinks there and the bartender was nice and entertaining. Great Location.

Bernard made our stay enjoyable. He provided us with information on what to do while we were staying at the Sirata. The weather was very cold and the beach was not looking to good to us. We would have left after the first day had he not given us a verbal tour of the area.

Room Tip: Take a room that faces the Gulf with a balcony on the second floor.

Where do I begin? If you want to park in their lot and have internet, you need to tack on abt $20/day to whatever room rate you are given. Parking is $8/day (plus tax) and internet access is $10/day. The resort includes 4 different buildings with rooms. None of the buildings have any identification you can see from the parking lot. We found 2 wrong buildings before I walk the maze back to the office and the night manager had to walk us to our bldg. "Oh this happens all the time." Really? Then why don't you get some signage? The only signage for our bldg was light colored and you had to be INSIDE the valet parking area to see it. Also....our dark, depressing room was obviously an old hotel room that someone tried to update by putting in new curtains that look old (think Bates Motel), keeping the 1960's doors and bathroom. We have stayed in 2 star motels that were nicer. (They do give you 2 bottles of drinking water - oh boy). Want breakfast? Good luck successfully finding the restaurant on the 1st try. We had to ask for directions...."Oh, this happens all the time" Really?....then put up some flipping SIGNAGE!!!!! Staff was always friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. Concierge gave us some great suggestions for things to do on rainy/cool days.

Room Tip: Find another place instead is my best tip.

Dear BeverlyBoop,
Thank you for your well organized and constructive comments. We appreciate your recognition of our friendly, helpful staff. In regards to our fees, most of our competitors charge a substantial Resort Fee whereas we charge items like parking and Wi-Fi fees separately. Most guests appreciate this method. We do offer a Resort Saver Package that is inclusive of Parking, Wi-Fi and Cabana rental. We strive for perfection in everything we do and I am so sorry we did not live up to your expectations with signage. Your comments have been very helpful. We do hope to see you on your next visit to St Pete Beach.

Attended a wedding at this hotel on Sat March 8th, and our waitress named Karen, was very helpful, courteous and assisted us with our every need.
The food was bland, DJ great, and the fire drill during the wedding on the 8th floor was a darn shame. The couple who wed, should receive some compensation. It was only 9:30 in the evening, and we all had to walk down 8 floors. Most of us went home because our good time was interrupted.

We were really looking forward for a beach weekend getaway,we are locals and live in Tampa,fl. Upon arrival our room was not ready,no big deal we went to the beach bar and had a late lunch. The food was mediocre, and priced high. But we expected that as this is a big tourist area. Finally the hotel called us and informed us our room was ready. We were in the room for 10 minutes total when we discovered bugs everywhere!! We were horrified and called the front desk. They sent someone up to deal with the situation, she also saw the bugs and apologized. We checked out (obviously) and drove all the way home. We were guaranteed that we would NOT be charged for the room....next day we were charged 240.00! I had to call and argue with the horribly rude front desk manager to get a refund. Needless to say this place is horrific, and highly overpriced.

Dear ReneeG,
Please accept our humblest apology for the negative experience you encountered. We are so sorry you encountered a problem with insects in your room. You can rest assured this is an isolated incident. Florida is a warm weather paradise, but you will be happy to know we have a very aggressive and successful pest elimination program. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service and product to all of our guests, we are sorry we did not live up to your expectations. We do hope you will consider giving us another chance.
