Nice location on beach.Room a little outdated but clean and quiet. We had reserved 2 suites, with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa bed in each room . The rooms had a stove and fridge, and sink. The queen beds were really comfortable, but the pull out sofa was really only good for a small child. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. We arrived a little early before the 4 pm check in time, but the room was ready and Fred at the front desk was very pleasent and greeted us with a huge smile. We stopped by the on site rum runners snack bar. It is a little pricey, over $5.00 for 2 small cups of coffee and over $7.00for a cream cheese bagle. Also a plastic cup of milk for our grandson was $3.25. We went to the hotel next door the next morning for a $9.95 all you can eat breakfast buffet.Overall a nice place to stay and everyone seemed nice. We stayed here a few years ago and everything seemed to be about the same. We will most likley come back in the future.

The Sirata is the best hotel in St. Pete's beach, the staff are so helpful guiding us to the best shopping malls, site seeing, or just generally helping you get around and make the most of your vacation. Whether at the front desk or around the resort, they ensured that our stay was the best and is was, the hotel was sooo clean, the rooms consisted of a full size fridge and stove. The cleaning staff were there every morning to clean and I mean clean. The beach was cleaned every morning. At night it was so nice and quiet and we were right outside Harry's Bar, who seemed to keep the rowdys at bay. The Compass Grill which is adjacent to the hotel is fantastic the staff (our waiter Ben - who we will miss every morning and you too Audrey and Laureen) you guys were so friendly really a great way to start off the day, the food is also great but you guys with your smiling faces in the morning to greet us always made the day. We can't wait to return to see you all again. Thank you for a great holiday.

Room Tip: All rooms at the Sirata are great.

My husband and I stayed at the Sirata from Nov.13-Nov.17. and we had a fantastic time. It is our 7th time there and it keeps getting better. The staff is great and our room was so perfect. Alan at the front desk treated us so nice, and we had the pleasure of meeting Ron the manager. This is one of our favorite places. See you again in May 2014. Thank you.

When we checked in, our originally booked room was unavailable, so the staff automatically upgraded us to a suite with a view of the ocean. Our Bellman, Bernard, did a thorough job of not just bringing up our luggage, but of thoroughly familiarizing us with our suite, its features and the heating/cooling system. Our only disappointment was that the bars/grills weren't open very late, even on the weekends. And it seemed that in the evening only one or the other was open and you never knew which one it would be. But I guess with it being off-season, it is to be expected.

We booked our room with Booking, com. Rate was to reflect a $240. plus room.
The mystery was as to how anyone could charge such an inflated rate for the room we were assigned.
Very small, double bed,, tiny bathroom, farthest room from restaurants, bars, pools and the beach.
The Sirata is a lovely resort. With many amenities. No real complaints with the property.
Complaint is with Booking.com. Felt it was misrepresentation of the room. Will not chance a Mystery Property with them again.
We did ask for an upgrade, but hotel was full. So we were stuck with what appeared to have been a storage closet converted to a room.

Room Tip: Be wary of the low rates from Bookit.

When arriving at the resort, our first encounter was with Jerry, manning the front gate. He was very friendly, helpful and let us know the lay of the land, so to speak. Gave us directions and information about the neighborhood. He is a asset to the resort and an absolute gem. It was a pleasure to have him greet us every day, coming and going. We actually looked for him. What a great guy!

I stayed at the Sirata for 5 days in September 2013 for my honeymoon with my husband and his brother and brother's spouse. We all had a wonderful time, loved the location and the beach was great. The rooms were clean and it was nice to have a kitchenette and a fridge, we bought some groceries at the Publix mart which is within walking distance, and kept some snacks and drinks to help save a little money. This resort does not have continental breakfast unfortunately, but we bought groceries to eat for breakfast in the mornings. The only reason I give this 4 instead of 5 stars is that I was a little disappointed to not have a balcony, we had sliding glass doors with a railing so you could stand and look outside, but not enough room to walk out and close the doors. I also was disappointed with Captain Dave's watersports, they were not open the majority of the time we were there, and when they were we wanted to go parasailing and were told there was nobody there to take us. So we went to the watersports in front of Guy Harvey and used their services, they were very pleasant and I was glad they were available. The beds were comfortable, lots of restaurants close by, I reccoment Crabby Bills and Silas Dent Steakhouse. . The last night we were there, we were in the hot tub when an intoxicated couple started being innappropriately intamate for being in public, forcing us to leave the hot tub in disgust. When we informed staff of their innapropriateness (there were children present as well in the pool) staff seemed to think it was a joke and did not handle matters very well. I realize these things happen when it's late and near a bar, but found it a little uncalled for in such a public area. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely visit the Sirata again
