We booked our room with Booking, com. Rate was to reflect a $240. plus room.
The mystery was as to how anyone could charge such an inflated rate for the room we were assigned.
Very small, double bed,, tiny bathroom, farthest room from restaurants, bars, pools and the beach.
The Sirata is a lovely resort. With many amenities. No real complaints with the property.
Complaint is with Booking.com. Felt it was misrepresentation of the room. Will not chance a Mystery Property with them again.
We did ask for an upgrade, but hotel was full. So we were stuck with what appeared to have been a storage closet converted to a room.

Room Tip: Be wary of the low rates from Bookit.

When arriving at the resort, our first encounter was with Jerry, manning the front gate. He was very friendly, helpful and let us know the lay of the land, so to speak. Gave us directions and information about the neighborhood. He is a asset to the resort and an absolute gem. It was a pleasure to have him greet us every day, coming and going. We actually looked for him. What a great guy!

I stayed at the Sirata for 5 days in September 2013 for my honeymoon with my husband and his brother and brother's spouse. We all had a wonderful time, loved the location and the beach was great. The rooms were clean and it was nice to have a kitchenette and a fridge, we bought some groceries at the Publix mart which is within walking distance, and kept some snacks and drinks to help save a little money. This resort does not have continental breakfast unfortunately, but we bought groceries to eat for breakfast in the mornings. The only reason I give this 4 instead of 5 stars is that I was a little disappointed to not have a balcony, we had sliding glass doors with a railing so you could stand and look outside, but not enough room to walk out and close the doors. I also was disappointed with Captain Dave's watersports, they were not open the majority of the time we were there, and when they were we wanted to go parasailing and were told there was nobody there to take us. So we went to the watersports in front of Guy Harvey and used their services, they were very pleasant and I was glad they were available. The beds were comfortable, lots of restaurants close by, I reccoment Crabby Bills and Silas Dent Steakhouse. . The last night we were there, we were in the hot tub when an intoxicated couple started being innappropriately intamate for being in public, forcing us to leave the hot tub in disgust. When we informed staff of their innapropriateness (there were children present as well in the pool) staff seemed to think it was a joke and did not handle matters very well. I realize these things happen when it's late and near a bar, but found it a little uncalled for in such a public area. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely visit the Sirata again

The location is hard to beat, great spot on the beach and walking distance to several good spots. The accommodations were very good with a nice pool and good customer service. This was our first trip to this facility and we will be back.

The Sirata was a great place to stay. Right on the beach with no resort fees. The room was exactly as pictured on the website and was pretty quiet. The bathroom is the one place that they cut corners. It had a tiny, loud fan attached to the wall instead of the ceiling (my guess is because the ceiling was so low-I'm 5 1/2 and could touch it easily). At one point our AC started squealing really loudly so we called the front desk. They sent someone up right away to fix it. He said he would have to replace it and it was replaced within 30 minutes of the initial call. The hammocks are amazing, as is the heated pool! I wish we had been able to stay longer because the poolside cabanas (little hut type thing) looked AMAZING and even had a TV. Our room was categorized as a pool view, but when you looked out you had a perfect view of the Gulf. It was absolutely gorgeous!!!

It was our first time to stay at the Sirata... and we would go back again. The resort is very clean, staff is very friendly, 3 pools, beautiful white sandy beach! We had a gulf side room which was with 2 queen beds and a private patio in building 2. It was a great location. Bathroom area is small, but so what. We were able to shower without any issues. Breakfast at Rum Runners was nice - able to sit outside in beautiful sunny weather. Food was tasty! We ate dinners out, off of the resort. We took a trolley( CAT ) to go to John's Pass. You take 2 Trolley's actually. the first one brings you to one spot; then you get on another to bring you further down gulf blvd. John's Pass was a neat place to shop and eat. Trolley cost $4.50 all day pass; better than a taxi. we did not rent a car. We used super shuttle service also for round trip to and from airport. very good service as well. overall, great trip and stay at the Sirata for the price!

Room Tip: We had a corner room with private patio; access directly to beach. building 2. it was a good locatio...

Traveled Oct 24-28. Made these reservations over the phone in September and I must say, the two different women I talked to in reservations were so friendly, nice, and helpful. You can only book a few styles of rooms online but they have about 16 different room types. I booked a King suite, beach view and was told the view would look down the beach. Checked in by nice staff (EVERY staff member we came across was wonderful) and assigned to building 4 third floor. The room had the most disappointing view...looked into a parking lot and into trees, no beach view AT ALL. If you stood on the balcony and craned your neck, you could see the beach. I called front desk and politely explained my disappointment and though they couldn't change our room that night, they said they would the following night. The 1st room had a dated carpet and looked tired. The room we switched to was 6th floor, french balcony, gorgeous beach views...perfect. Room was brighter, little bit more updated, lovely. I really appreciated their customer service in switching us. Harry's was ok..overpriced I think but good vibe for listening to music (done by 10pm.) We are not pool people but they had several nice pools. Building 4 was best location in our opinion. We beached it everyday and cabanas were easy to get. Gorgeous beach and sunsets. We ate breakfasts out and found a few great local spots. Also had amazing meals out at Chop House, Snappers, and Salt Rock Grill (Indian Rocks.) Place was clean. Sirata is between Tradewinds Island Grand and Grand Plaza (where Spinners is.) Great location, especially if you want to walk everywhere. Had NO problems with parking.

Room Tip: Building 4 had great location, good parking. 4th floor or higher is best.
