Sirata Beach Resort
Ranked #13 of 32 Hotels in St. Pete Beach
Reviewed May 7, 2013

I've stayed at numerous places all along the gulf beaches including the Hilton in Clearwater as well as the Doubletree in North Redington Beach, the Sheraton at Sand Key, and the Sirata Beach resort and I've settled on the Sirata as my preferred hotel there. Although all those hotels have something unique to offer, (most notably the doubletree, which is closest of all of these to the water-a real boon if older people are in your party), I love the Sirata's pools, pool decks, 2 outdoor beach restaurants, and 2 hot tubs. There's lots of activity and people in one of the pool areas, and the other is more quiet, yet just as nice. There are lots of places to get away on the property, including little thatched huts on the edge of the beach that provide complete relief from the sun and a little spot to get away. The beach is gorgeous, although a substantial walk to the water....I saw dolphin right from my balcony, and had binoculars to watch them for about 30 minutes. The rooms are good basic rooms; the whole place has a truly beachy feel, which I like. I'm not a fan of stuffy marble palaces on a beach vacation. There are lots of good restaurants nearby also including snappers, mad fish and sea critters. Sea Critters is especially fun with kids, and after dark. After dark, the catfish swarm around the docks where the tables are (outside), and you can throw food to them. It's like a mini shark frenzy with water splashing as they all try to grab the food...fun! Key West like atmosphere...Go to the Sirata for a reasonable beach vacation at a fun resort.

Room Tip: I love the beachfront rooms, but there are only a dozen or so. The rooms in the main building facin...

We spent 3 nights at this property and really liked it. We won it on. Priceline for$120., I would pay that for sure if you could book conventionally for that price. It was easy to get to from the airport, the location can't be beat on a beautiful sandy beach. Lots of pool lounges, pool attendants very pleasant, entertainment everyday. The room had new furniture and flat screen tv, a small fridge, but no microwave. We asked if there was a room with a pool or beach view, but it would have been an extra $40. A day, so we opted for the street view. Even with all the traffic, we weren't bothered by road noise. We have always stayed in the Treasure Island area and liked it, but I would return here any time. I have signed up for their e-mails and card, hopefully there will be a deal for next April.

Room Tip: A poolside or beach view would be fantastic.

Every time we go here the staff are wonderful the rooms are clean! Well worth the money we usually can get a good deal on Priceline. This time we had to pay 20.00 extra for the upgrade but we got King Suite on the 8th floor really nice view of the Inter-coastal! The ocean was warm finally!!!! They keep the beach so clean too. Will return again and again!

Room Tip: KIng Suites is worth the upgrade fee!

We stayed from April 21 to April 26 we rented two rooms got a great deal at Priceline we arrive check in went very well when we got to our rooms we where surprise to see both of them where on the 6 th floor of the conference building and facing the beach we had a great view of the beach also the room and the bedding was very nice the bath room where the toilet and the bath tub is a little small but where the sink is is ok size " NOTE Tip the bathroom has a sliding pocket door built in the wall where the sink is you can close and change with plenty of room.
The hotel is on the beach the beach is perfect . The pools where very nice and they have two nice places to drink and have a good time. as far as or vacation goes we had a very nice stay and will be coming back to this resort. "NOTE Tip they have a mini frigid so you can buy food at the local Publix Grocery store Just about a half a mile down the street the resort has good food but a little expense but you are staying on the beach so you can expect that every where GREAT STAY ON THE BEACH

My husband and I just spent five days at the Sirata and found 99% of the employees to be very friendly and helpful. The location is right on the beach with spectacular sunsets and beach activities and is conveniently located to shops, grocery stores and restaurants. However, It isn't in a quaint little beach town but rather on a very busy main avenue. We didn't hear road noise but crossing the street was an adventure as the crosswalks were pretty far apart and traffic heavy.

As others have indicated, the resort is a bit "tired" though for the most part clean. (Dirty ashtrays were left on the public walkways the rooms were off of for days without being cleaned once.) The rooms need an upgrade - rugs a little worn and the ac was very loud.

The only service issue we had was when the maid got confused and started pulling our stuff out of the room the day before we were to checkout. Luckily we were there when she started and were able to show her that she had the wrong room. I hate to think what would've happened if we hadn't been around though.

Overall, a decent place to stay.

Dear Suzanne Y,

Thank you for your detailed comments. We truly appreciate the feedback. We were glad to read you thought the location was “GREAT” with spectacular sunsets. Thank you for pointing out how convenient we are to shopping and local restaurants. Please excuse the problem you encountered with housekeeping. I can assure you this was a miscommunication with our staff and an isolated incident. Thank you for your patronage and we look forward to your return visit.
