We have been to this family owned resort for three years in a row and we will come back next year. We were in building 4, as usual and we were surprised at the renovations during the last year. New furniture, mattresses and bedding, carpets and bathroom tiles. And the service still great, from Paul the concierge to Melissa in housekeeping. Truly a home away from home. Well done, Sirata.

We stayed in this hotel for a week. Everything was great. The room we stayed in was older but it was clean. The staff was very professional and friendly. Good location for the sunset. We would stay here again.

Stayed here for a quick get away. Hotel is older property but with some updated bedroom suites great views of beach and Bay Area. Nightly entertainment was pleasing as well as the fire pit and fireplace around the pool areas.

We took our boys (ages 2 and 4) on vacation for the first time. We have stayed at a variety of all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean before (minus the kids), and I travel with work and frequently stay in hotels: we have standards. Most of all we want CLEAN, no matter where we stay. The grounds were very well kept, and the beach was breathtaking! That sand was like soft, thick, shag carpet! There was a neat swing/play set for the boys right at the resort too. All three pools were heated, which was also a plus as the weather outside was colder than normal for FL. There are also hammocks scattered about that were comfortable, as well as lots of seating both on the beach and at the pools. The out side of the hotel was nice and well kept. There were several out door restaurants/bars and one inside too. I would say the food was just fine, and hit the spot after fun in the pool. The fire pit was nice to cuddle up around also. As far as the room goes, we had one with a kitchenette in it and two double queens. It was just right for our family. It was newly updated and was also clean. There was a grocery store a few blocks away and we bought groceries and ate breakfast most days in our room, and some dinners too. Staff was friendly, but not in a hurry. For this trip we wanted a clean place to stay, with access to the beach. We wanted a kitchenette to cook some meals (as our boys are small and eating out isn't always a relaxing or healthy experience). We wanted heated pools and also liked the fact that there was a play set on the beach for them too. A nice surprise was the live guitar music (but it ended early enough not to keep the surrounding guests awake) every night. There was something for us and something for the boys. There is also a really nice park for little kids to play at up the street by Walgreens, that we enjoyed too.

We did not give this resort a 5 out of 5 because we would like to have seen new beds/mattresses and pillows in the room during the recent renovations (they were comfortable enough, but new would be a 5/5).And overall the rooms weren't spectacular, but they were clean and we didn't spend that much time in the room anyway. We would also like the service to be a little more quick (but we had two demanding little ones with us too). I would recommend this resort and would stay there again! If you have a family OR are looking for a nice play to stay in St. Pete yourself, definitely put this one on your list!

Room Tip: Ground floor was best for us since our kids like to run and we didn't have to worry about disturbing a downstairs neighbor.

Dear Mikaela P,

Thank you for your detailed comments. We were glad to read you thought the rooms were comfortable, CLEAN and really great for a family. It was nice you could take advantage of the heated pools, fire pit and hammocks. This is a very relaxing Beach Front property. We most recently have updated all the beds, bedding and furniture on the entire property. I am sorry we did not live up to your expectations in this regard. We appreciate the feedback. Thank you for your patronage and we look forward to your return visit.

Cricket and Florian, and the entire staff of the Sirata went out of their way to make a conference at the Sirata go off without a hitch. The few (very minor) things that happened were really outside their control, and when something DID happen, they immediately came up with a solution. They made my job as the Program Chair look easy!

In addition to the service, the food was outstanding. I lost count of the compliments that we received on the quality and service during meals. All in all, I haven't been in a location that made running a conference a smoother operation.
