“Our Holiday”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Stayed here for 4 nights. Didn't realise how big the complex was! Our room was lovely, overlooking the pool and beach. It was clean, 2 fairly large beds (bigger than in our last hotel), plenty of room to put suitcases. Only slightly annoying that in USA you don't get a kettle in your room, just a coffee machine. We were told we could use that to boil water for our tea, which we did so not a problem. Lovely pools, plenty of towels, bars and restaurants all very good.

Room Tip: Our room was fine, in the main block overlooking pool and sea.

We stayed at the Sirata in October, 2012 and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The convenience of the beach cabanas was awesome. The Tiki bar by the pool serves reasonable and delicious food. During the time we stayed there, the Sirata was completely booked but it still was not overcrowded. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very comfortable and especially to Deborah Probst who made our little vacation awesome! We will be back to stay here again for sure!

I recently contacted your reservation department and spoke with a Jessie regarding my upcoming stay. I was given exceptional service and he was very helpful. The resort has lots to offer and the prices are very reasonable when comparing them to other resorts along the beach. I look forward to calling back and booking my room.

We had stayed here at the Sirata last year for our anniversary and had a nice time so we decided to stay again. The rates were comparable to others in the area. I had booked well in advance and reserved the same room we had before which was a King bed gulf front. Upon arrival we were told that they were overbooked and a King room was not available, only a two queen bed room gulf front. While this did not pose a huge inconvenience I thought since we had a long standing reservation we should be accomodated. They did offer a reduction in the room price which was welcomed. Aside from that it was an ok stay. The resort is a bit outdated with furnishings and decor. Could use a bit of sprucing. Parking spaces are tight and at a premium. We had to park across the street in the employee area even though you have to pay for parking. I think next year we will look for a different place to spend our anniversary.

Just returned from Sirata beach resort and we had a wonderful stay . I have read all of the reviews about this resort . I have to say all the bad reviews I saw on here I never encountered . I want to thank the staff for such a great vacation . From the time we checked in till the time we left they made our stay great . Thank you Mike at the front desk and Winston the beach manager they was awesome . Winston checked on us everyday to see if we needed anything . The cleaning staff and bartenders was always smiling and happy . The compass grille had good food and Harrys bar was fun at night . The beach and pools very clean and well kept . If you are looking for a good beach front resort pick the Sirata . If you like all you can eat crab legs check out oyster shuckers down the street . I have stayed at many hotels and this one is top notch . Thank you again Sirata for a nice vacation . We stayed in a ocean front beach front room with a kitchen . Great room .

Room Tip: Beach front ocean front has great sunset views .

We booked a room at the Sirata resort and it was excellent. We were there only three days and so we did not get a chance to do everything in the hotel. Our room overlooked the courtyard and the courtyard was lovely with tropical foliage and benches to sit and bubbling fountains. Rooms for more money can be purchased to overlook the beach. Our room was clean and quiet, just know that on the weekends there tends to be a number of weddings held there and no matter where you are it was a bit noisy but with the a/c on and the tv it was not bad. There are at least two pools plus a hot tub and a couple of restaurants. We did not eat there as the food was rather expensive and there are a number of other restaurants near by that had excellent food. There is also a nice gym on the property that is free. It has two treadmills, a stationary bike and stair climber plus an assortment of free weights and machines. The staff was very nice and helpful. There is also a bus stop outside of the hotel so it is possible to take the bus or bike. Only thing right now there is a lot of road construction so biking can be dangerous. You can rent beach cabanas, pool cabanas, beach toys and chairs. They will also rent para-sails and paddlebaords. Otherwise, I would recommend the resort and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Our room was on the third floor overlooking the courtyard and it was fine.

Sirata is a complete resort and you won't need to leave the property. People complaining of small rooms have not stayed in the king suite. We had plenty of room and a great view of the Gulf. The bars were friendly and the food was great. Prices were very reasonable for a resort. Our suite had a full kitchen. Our first visit but we are already planning a return. Weekends are busy as they host a lot of weddings. But, there are plenty of venues and you can always find a table. Great beach, too. We stayed in building 4. Staff is very courteous and we were treated extremely well.
