We went on a Saturday around 12:45 and were seated immediately on the outdoor terrace. My wife had fish taco which was just OK. I had the fried oyster basket and it was very good. The waitresses were hustling but we never got refills on our water. Also we were seated near the Tiki bar and the noise from the blender was very distracting. I don't know why they did not put it on the other side of the bar where there were no seats. The view of the Gulf was great and we would go back but not sit close to the Tiki bar.

Beautiful day on the patio at the Blue Parrot on the Forgotten Coast. The shrimp was good, service was good. The beachside view was splendid.

The Blue Parrot is located on the Gulf near the Lighthouse on St George Island. It is one of about four restaurants on the island. On a Saturday night, during spring break, we were seated within ten minutes on the outdoor covered deck overlooking the Gulf. It is not ideal for enjoying the sunset and at least two of the other restaurants are on the bay side facing the sunset. The Blue Parrot would be perfect for people watching during the day. We both ordered grouper sandwiches ($14), one of the less expensive items on the menu. Our order was taken efficiently and we were served our sandwiches fairly quickly. The grouper was excellent, although the sandwich bun became soggy fairly quickly. The french fries were crisp and tasty. After our meal, we were able to catch the last of the sunset from the causeway which was three block away from the Blue Parrot.

Overall a tasty meal which is convenient to the many rental houses on St George Island.

We usually eat there several times on our yearly vacation. After waiting on our server for over 30 minutes, we left. The waitress doted on the table of drunks next to use. We gladly took our money to BJs. We were seated next to the kitchen. However could not trip a member of the waitstaff. Will not return. Humiliating.
