We went to Eddy TEach's for lunch Jul 9. The new shrimp wrap was delicious! It looks more like shrimp tacos, but the flavors are much better. The shrimp are plump and juicy and the sauce is just right. This makes a wonderful light lunch on a hot summer day.

If you want fancy this is the wrong place. If you want a place were locals go for cold beer, great raw fresh oyster and to BS then this is the place. It's like old Florida and what they do they do right. Good honest food and value. Sometimes simple is the best. I mean did you go to St. George to relax or what? Also, suggest Pappa Joe's in Appalach. Better food and less expensive than Boss Oyster. Been coming to the Island for 16 years.

Went to Eddy Teach's for a late lunch and was lucky to hit the $3.50 raw dozen special that starts at 3:30 and goes until 4:30. Apparently the locals know of this time and the place got significantly more crowded at that time. The oysters were awesome but the rest of the menu looks to be rather ordinary. If you don't want raw oysters, and don't want a place with a quaint hole in the wall feel, you probably want to go elsewhere.

A kitschy raw bar, plenty of atmosphere with pleasant staff.

Despite a couple of people proclaiming the burgers to be top rate, the burgers here appear to be pre-cooked and just heated up on site. Not a great burger by a long stretch. I would even go as far as to say a crappy burger.

The corndog I had was either microwaved or steamed because it most certainly wasn't baked or fried. If I had wanted a microwaved corndog I could have gone to the Piggly Wiggly and gotten a frozen one and taken it back to my hotel room. Note to restaurant - corndogs should be crunchy on the outside! YUK.

We stopped in based on reviews here and the property's website which made it look like a fun place. We had a couple beers and a couple sodas, but decided to go elsewhere for dinner. The prices for the steamed oysters were much higher than some of the other restaurants we visited during our vacation, and mostly it is just a bar, only a couple tables available, at least at night. This is a more "rough around the edges" bar which is fine, but not what we were looking for. We enjoyed the atmosphere at Up the Creek Raw Bar in Apalachicola more, and the prices were much better.

The lady bartender was very nice, and the service seemed good. However, our drinks totaled about $9, and since it didn't meet a $10 limit, we were not allowed to use a credit card - only cash. A $10 limit to use a credit card at a bar (or anywhere!) is ridiculous.
