Thanks to a Groupon deal, we discovered this amazing park! The location takes guests into a little-seen Florida experience, and just being away from traffic and buildings and theme parks is worth the drive! During the ride out to the ziplines in the funny swamp buggy, the mic did not work, so we did not get to hear all of the driver's talk, but I caught that the cattle and horses grazing on the huge ranch had historical significance. The story of the people who own the place and their son who died young but loved the environment was really interesting (display in the registration building has that story). The really exciting part of the day, of course, started once the buggy left us off at the towers. I love roller coasters, so it was cool that our first ride was on the zipline they call the roller coaster since you glide really fast on a track with dips and curves. Wow, it was a rush. Some of the guys complained that the drops made the harness a bit uncomfortable, but everyone was excited for the rest of the rides. Some lines were longer, some were faster, and the plunge was a straight drop down that was pretty scary, but they were all lots and lots of fun, especially since the guides were jovial, friendly, and even encouraged and scared people so they would be able to have fun, too. The only drawback was that we were in a group of 12 people and we had to wait for everyone to finish a line before we could move to the next one. The waiting was kind of boring. Oh, and we had the veggie burger with fries at the restaurant and the food was surprisingly good!
