Very informative tour especially for those of African/American heritage or anyone just interested in history surrounding St. Augustine after the civil war.

There is so much black history in St. Augustine and it is a bloody shame that the museum doesn't get the funding it sorely needs. Everyone was lovely and we did learn some very interesting things. We hope that the city will recognize the need and work with the director Mr. Francis to make the museum better. It was so disappointing to walk around the Old Town and see the black history being rewritten.

This sleepy little museum is only open Tuesday through Thursday from 1 to 5 but is a must see if you enjoy black history. The best part is the artifacts from MLK's visit in 1964 and the historical Civil Rights events that happened at Saint Augustine. Admission is free but donations are gladly accepted.
