The condos at Beachers Lodge are individually owned and vary widely depending on location and decor. This is a first floor unit and as the photo shows the view is dissected and monopolized by a cement wall. You can glimpse the ocean and the sunrise past the wall and the dunes. If you sit on the small patio or open the door for ocean breezes, you hear every sound from the neighbors on both sides. During our stay that was a crying baby and someone with a hacking cough. This is a small space that could work for one person. There were 3 of us. Our teenage son slept in the living room on the sofa bed. In order for me to get to the patio in the morning while he was sleeping, I had to climb across his bed. The window in the small bedroom overlooked a cement wall. There is a full kitchen and a small table with 2 chairs so its possible to eat here but not enjoyable. We found the place very depressing and cramped. I went to the office and as soon as something became available on a higher floor, we moved even though we had paid for this apartment. This is a very good price, but its worth spending a little more to enjoy your vacation. After we moved to a larger apartment on the 3rd floor with a gorgeous ocean view, it was like we were in a totally different place. Because I rented from the owner and not the office, I couldn't exchange rooms but had to eat the loss.
On the plus side, Todd was very nice and when we requested anything -- i.e. towels, toilet paper etc. he drove over right away. Also in fairness to him, he didn't falsely advertise in any way. The photo posted here of the patio does show what it looks like. I didn't pay enough attention. The pool here is great -large and heated. However there are 4 floors of apartments with balconies right next to the pool and its a little discomforting to be staring right at the people on their balconies while swimming and visa versa.
