“Help in time of trouble”
Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

We had already checked out and was on our way home when our car broke down after only a few miles. After getting our car
Towed we call back to the hotel to see if they could possibly house us even though this was race week. Everyone was more than accommodating. Offering to store our things before we checked back in and even made our checking in process easy while we were trying to get our car repaired. Clean room, kind staff, nice breakfast, what more can you ask for right off of the I-95 in times of trouble.

For the price we paid the was a good deal. The hotel was undergoing reno which was not metioned but should be done by end of Feb. You really are close to every single thing, right on the tour bus route etc. The view is not great but, we where in the room so little it did not matter. The place overall is clean and pretty good. Staff are great & freindly, tried hard to help us out.

Room Tip: Get rooms on front of building.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and thought it was worth the price. The continental breakfast had more than enough choices. It is so close to the old city that we walked everywhere except for a day at the beach.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a nice view and less noise from passersby.

We stayed here after a poor experience at another local hotel and it was a good stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating with our last minute reservation, the breakfast was decent (waffle was good), and the room was clean. It's definitely an older hotel that could use some reno - but for the cost, it's a deal.

Room Tip: Try to get a second floor room if possible to avoid street noise!

The Comfort Inn near the City Gate and St. George street is directly across the street from the Old Trolley. This is very convienient to all the attractions in the local area. Walking distance to everything. The staff was very nice and helpful The breakfast was good and well stocked every morning. I would return anytime.

The morning we left we were able to leave our car in the parking lot and did a few more thiings before leaving. The public parking can get expensive and very difficult to find so it was a joy to have this included with our stay.

Room Tip: Walls are a little thin as we heard people talking next to us.

Room was very damp - I would think if air conditioner was good, the room would be comfortable. Room was a little dirty, no hot water at night, but water was hot in the morning - could they be cheap and have it on a timer? Breakfast was nothing to brag about. On the plus side - you could walk to the beach and the staff was very friendly.

The hotel is as basic as they come. Even smelled old. My room was musty smelling and the front desk "made a note of it". Pool had stuff floating in it, hallways dark, room dark, breakfast grim. Go to another exit, pay 1/2 the price and get a better room.

Not the hotels fault, but the surrounding interstate exit stuff is nasty as well. Not a good meal to be found, confusing turns and driveways to businesses in the area. I did not go to the outlet mall, but perhaps that is this area's positive.
