“See the history and Park FREE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2013

Evertime I visit a new area, I like to get a "City Tour" to get my bearings of the history and community. We had done the Trolly in Savannah a few days earlier, so this was a no brainer. We even got a discount for showing our tickets from the Savannah trolly. You can park for free all day at any of the Trolly pick-up/parking areas and there are several. That saves you a bunch as parking costs and can be difficult at times. The trolly takes you to see all the area historic attractions where you can get on and off as you please. The great thing is that your pass is good for three days and it takes that or more to experience the area! The guides are great and we really enjoyed our experience and as you ride the route multiple times you learn more historic tidbits from the different guides.
You can buy your tickets almost anywhere in the historic district.

“Parking is Free with purchase :)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Your pass is good for three days. We didn't have the three days but had we known the night we bought our ticket that there were several places to park for free with the purchase we would have done that first. Parking can be difficult on a busy weekend/holiday. We came back and took the morning tour and it was a great way to see the sights of the city and learn more about places you may want to go back to. You definitely need more than one day in this city. We will definitely have to come back but arrived late afternoon on Monday and had to be back home by 7pm next day. Could have easily spent all day touring the different sites. Most places charge extra though so you may want to purchase one of the tours which includes visits to other sites. This part was disappointing that everywhere it seemed had an extra charge. Had we known, the Fort was free on Martin Luther holiday. We also learned there is a free shuttle from the island to downtown also which would mean you do not have to park. Should have read more on Trip Advisor before leaving. :(

“Great With A Minor Hiccup”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

The Old Town Trolley Tours is a great value but does it quite busy and on occasion gets very behind on the pick ups. On 12/31/12, we spent close to 40 minutes waiting to get picked up (rather then the 10 to 15 minutes that it should have taken). We ended up having to get picked up by a Ghost and Gravestones trolly because everyone was behind/full.

That was the only hiccup that we had the entire six day trip.

The guides are all amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Some deviate from the script they are taught which is quite ok with me. They add some of their own knowledge about the town or a little twist to things, stories of past guests and the such.

I just wish that the trolly's had windows for the cold days! :)

“Who doesn't like these folks?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I could go on and on about the friendly drivers and their extensive knowledge of the history and the town. The trains come very often and the route touches on everything. The beach bus is so convenient. But what impresses me - most of all - EVERY time I ride the trolley is the incredible KINDNESS of the drivers and staff at gift shops and ticket booths. It is a tourist town and tourists can be annoying, demanding and clueless but the OTT tour folks are so sincerely kind, understanding, helpful. We visit St. Augustine a lot and first order of business is to buy our trolley tickets and ride through town. If you have never done the Holly Jolly Trolley at Christmastime - make your plans now! Thank you everyone for making the St. Augustine experience so enjoyable!

“Customer service not consistant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

If you are staying for multiple days this is the route to go as you can use the trolley to get around town until 4:30 pm. The sticker is good for 3 days. When you buy your tickets(we did from a booth on treasury st). they will try to sell you packages, so know what you want to do before you do them as they will upsell you. With the ticket you get free parking and a free old Florida museum ticket. WE were not informed about the free parking and had an issue with one of the attrations sold to us, and got terrible customer service from a booth on St. George street near Hypolita when we asked about it. The guest center customer service was excellent.
