My husband and I just stayed here for the second time. The first time it was in the Francisco Marin Room, which was luxurious to say the least! Great jacuzzi tub and soft SOFT bedding....completely romantic! On the down side, since the room is part of the original structure, the windows are street level and let noise in. Good thing St. Augustine is quiet at night.

This time we stayed in the Princess Margaret. Not quite as luxurious as the Francisco Marin, but very nice. Again, a Jacuzzi tub to relax in....The down side of this room is that there is french doors leading to the bathroom which do not give a lot of privacy (they lack solid curtains).

All rooms have nice robes for you to wear during your stay.

Breakfast this time was hot, fresh, flavorfull and Made To Order (you fill out a form the night before indicating your choices which include coffee, tea, juice, croissant, danish, bagels, cereal, fruit, and usually a hot egg dish (we had eggs benedict and eggs marin, both yummy) -- pretty much everything!)

Last time breakfast was pretty bad -- they had some egg-like substance in a warming dish and it was fend for yourself.

Staff is very nice. Parking on the street is hard to find since the City changed the laws, but thankfully guests can park in the lot for The Oldest House and walk barely two blocks to the inn.

Use of a car in St. Augustine is not necessary. Most of the historic downtown is reachable on foot, so it's nice to forget about the car while you're there.

My new husband and I had an unusual honeymoon-accompanied by my toddler and our dog. The owners made sure we had a comfortable accommodation for all of us and tried their best to make sure we had a romantic time. We did. The room was beautiful and the views from this inn are spectacular. We had breakfast prepared by their new Hungarian chef. It was wonderful each day. We will be going back for many anniversaries, hopefully unaccompanied!

We just got back from a long weekend with my husband at the Marin House. We had such a fantastic time! We stayed in the Lyndsay Michelle room, which was very large and beautifully decorated. The view from our room was also incredible. We sat on one of the many outside porches and watched the boats sail by, while we ate some home made deserts and wine, which was provided by the staff. My husband ordered the romance package, and there were roses and champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in our room upon arrival. The parking is a little difficult since the Inn is right on the water and they have on street parking and a lot that is about a block away. But, once you drop off your car, you can walk everywhere you need to go. There are great restaurants and bars within walking distance. We will definitely come back again!

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Marin House over Fourth of July weekend. The view is fantastic, the staff is friendly and the breakfast on the outdoor patio is a lovely way to start the day. There are little patios outside of the rooms with wicker furniture, so you can enjoy a glass of wine and desert (which the Inn provides in the afternoon). It was a very peaceful and romantic stay. The room was beautifully decorated with antiques and new amenities and we enjoyed the jacuzzi both nights. It was an incredible stay and we will definitely return again!!

We took advantage of the Marin House's new special: "Fuel Your Romance"! Stay 3 nights and get a $50 gas card to help offset raised gas prices. What a wonderful idea, it helped pay for our mini road trip. We stayed in one of their "mid-range" rooms, which we thought was perfect. We did not need anything more expensive, it had a really comfortable pillow topped bed, HUGE jacuzzi tub, porch area outside and nice amenities (we especially liked the Herbal Essences shampoos, soaps, etc...) We enjoyed the casual breakfast and unlimited coffee each morning, while watching the boats in the bay from the cute little courtyard. We drank probably a bit too much of the complementary wine ( I especially enjoyed the White Zin with dessert each evening). The location was great because we were able to walk everywhere but were not located smack in the middle of traffic. Parking was tricky, but they do offer free spots in a lot about a block away as a last resort. Parking seems to be tricky everywhere in town, so I would recommend walking anywhere possible...plus it is a great way to see the town anyway. Overall we had an excellent time- we would recommend the Marin House to anyone! Cannot wait to get back to "refuel our romance" again soon.

My wife and I stayed in St. Augustine over the July 4th weekend. We generally stay in Bed and Breakfasts, and I must say, this was probably the top 3. We looked around the other B&B's in St. Augustine, and Bayfront was by far and away the best. The view is amazing, the rooms are fantastic, and the comfortable ellegance is unmatched. Besides the wonderfully romantic time we had, my favorite part was the "sunset wine and dessert." We sat out on our balcony and had a complimentary glass of wine, and watched the sun set over the bay. How can you beat that?
