What a wonderful gem of a find. We stayed for 2 nights B & B, our room was amazing, from the furnishings to the decor. Only 1 negative point, if you are 5 foot or under its a struggle to get on the bed, but once on there OMG it's sooooo comfortable. We stayed in the forester suite with lovely sea views, at the moment they are securing the sea wall, so there was some disturbance with men at work ( not that it spoilt it). Breakfast was delicious with home made blueberry waffles dribbled with syrup. Would certainly recommend O C Whites for a drink and food lovely outside seating with a singer playing in the open air.
Would definitely go back and recommend

Room Tip: Forester suite

Thank you so much for writing such a nice review!! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us!! The room that you mentioned does have a high bed (some are not as high if that's an issue)...Sandy is only 5' (although she says 5'1" on her driver's license), so we do have a small two-step piece to give folks a boost if they need it! :) We really appreciate your review, and your comments on the rooms, the views and breakfast--we're happy that they all added to your St. Augustine experience. We hope to see you again soon!--Mike and Sandy and the Whole Bayfront Marin House Staff

Our stay of seven days at the Bayfront Marin House greatly enhanced an already wonderful experience in St Augustine. Our room was furnished and decorated in keeping with the historicity of the Inn as well as the city. Cleanliness was evident through out the premises including a beautifully kept flower garden area with outside seating for breakfast and "Happy Hour". The inside breakfast room and kitchen area were also immaculate. The staff from working ownership to management, to serving and cleaning personal were genuinlly cordial and attentive to our needs and wishes. They all circulated during breakfast and happy hour conversing with all present and seemed able to make everyone very relaxed. In our opinion this wonderful B&B is the best in St. Augustine.

We just love the Bayfront Marin. Mike and the staff make us seem like we are one of the family. Christy and I were there the last week of September. Awesome as usual. We are going so much that Mike will have to put us on the payroll. The staff even remembered our friends stayed there recently on our recommendation and asked how they enjoyed the stay..Do yourself a favor and stay at the Marin. You will not be disappointed.

It was so nice to see you both again!! And of course we asked about your friends--we know that you are a great ambassador for the Bayfront Marin House and we so appreciate it when you recommend our inn to people you know! We'll have to see if there's an opening on the staff for "Ambassadosr at Large" to get you both on the payroll! :) Thank you for the wonderful review, and for your many return visits--it's always wonderful to welcome you back!! Take care--Mike and Sandy and the Whole Bayfront Marin House Staff

The best thing about the Bayfront Marin is undoubtedly the staff. They keep the property to an amazingly high standard and their attentiveness is second to none. The Marin's location is excellent - placing you within walking distance of pretty much all of St Augustine's sights. Our room 'The Bridge of Lion' was comfortable and well maintained and the communal areas and gardens meant it was a great setting to just kick back and relax after a busy day sightseeing (or beach visiting!) A particularly nice touch is the daily happy hour with home made snacks and complimentary drinks. I would have gone to 5 stars if there had been more comfortable seating in shaded areas - many of the loungers often little protection from the sun which can be a little much for pale Irish types!

We totally agree with you on the staff--they are the absolute best!! (And we are so lucky to have them!!) We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us--and thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review! And we totally get you on wanting to stay out of the sun--next time you're here, just ask us to put up one of the umbrellas to keep you nice and shaded...we have a ton of them on the decks and in the patio, and we're happy to move one to make sure that you don't have to worry about a burn. Thanks again for your nice comments, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!!--Mike and Sandy adn the Whole Bayfront Marin House Staff

Accommodations and service excellent. We were there to celebrate our wedding. The staff and owners treated us like family. All we had to do was be there on time. Every detail was arranged. The food was excellent. Happy hour is a wonderful surprise. We can't wait to return. ( 10-1-2012 )
