You can also visit the Coquina Quarry, an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to help construct the nearby Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, earning it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. The campground contains 139 campsites all located within the beautiful maritime hammock and just a short walk or bike ride from the beach. This is a beautiful state park, with a long beach. Not a lot of shells for this shell lover, but a pleasant surf and a great view. Enjoyed walking along here and looking out on dolphins fishing just off the beach. Recommended!

I live about 10 miles from Anastasia State Park and love it so much my family has purchased a yearly pass. First off, the park is extremely clean (which includes the restrooms). There is a little shop inside the park where you can purchase snacks, a light lunch or sunscreen. You can also rent bicycles at the shop to ride inside the park on the paved roads. Another bonus is that you can easily ride the bikes on the beach and the riding is fantastic. If you have had enough of cycling, you can also rent kayaks or small sail boats located on a quiet inlet in the park. There you will see beautiful tropical birds and if you are lucky, sometimes kayak with dolphins. I have never personally camped at this park, so I can't comment on the campsites: but appear to be nice. If you are a beach-lover, don't miss this pretty state park beach.

If you love the ocean you will love this Park. We camped here with an RV and appreciated the cleanliness and overall organization of the Park. The staff were friendly and the Park was well maintained and tidy.

The beach was immaculate - no garbage...not even a gum wrapper!
The washroom was also very clean, updated and well maintained.

This is a perfect place for RVers to camp while visiting St. Augustine- the historic city is only a couple miles away.

We loved it here, great park with nice sites. We are tent campers and had a private enough site and the park helps out with poles where you can hang up tarp for the rainy weather. It looked like all the sites had those and they are very convenient and save the trees from damage.

St. Augustine with its Castillo and Fort Matanza are a short drive away. Be careful an hang up your trash bags, the racoons will grab it even when you are sitting there. They are not shy to take what they want. ;-)

I love coming here. You have the beautiful beaches, a short walk to the Saturday farmer's market, and a short drive to historic St Augustine.
I love this place! Be warned that the squirrels are not shy.
