Owner description: Anastasia State Park includes 1,600 acres of rich ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Explore up to four miles of pristine beach, the estuarine tidal marsh teeming with plant and animal life, or the self-guided nature trail which takes you through the maritime hammock and onto ancient sand dunes. You can also visit the Coquina Quarry, an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to help construct the nearby Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, earning it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. At Anastasia, there are many recreational activities to enjoy including hiking, swimming, beachcombing, bird watching, and much more. The campground contains 139 campsites all located within the beautiful maritime hammock and just a short walk or bike ride from the beach. Anastasia has concessions to provide guests with rental opportunities of bicycles, paddleboards, kayaks, sail boats and canoes. There is also a grill area and a small gift shop for visitors to take home an Anastasia memory. The grill location also provides Wi-Fi for visitors' use.

Anastasia is the best State Park our family has camped at. We stayed in our travel trainer at the Sea Urchin loop. The site was awesome, the park is quiet, the bathrooms are super clean with warm showers, and the beach is great. I would reccomend trying to get a site close to the beach. Would go back again and again.

We drove over to this state park to avoid the crowds of the town.
It cost $8 to enter but worth every penny. We spent the whole day there.
Large car park and good amentieis at the far end by the beach.
We hired to bikes and rode along the sand - fantastic experience.
Wanted to do the nature trail but it was too hot, so we sat by the beach and the internal waterways.
Later visited the lighthouse but that area was more crowded.
Would rewcommend this state if you need space peace & quiet.

Went with the hubby near sunset; gorgeous view with crisp white clean beach sand and rollling sand dunes. Avoid the weeknds as it fills up quickly, but during the week or even towards the evenings, so romantic and peaceful.

We camped in a pop up camper next to our son, wife, and two children, ages 9 and 12 who were in the neighboring campsite. (The grandkids always move in with us!) It was spring break, a busy time for beaches in Florida. Being in the state park let us avoid the craziness of traditional spring breakers.
The campsites are roomy, mostly shaded with Live Oak trees. Florida state park restrooms are well equipped and maintained. There are wonderful bike and hiking paths, a convenient camp store and snack bar. This section of the beach allows no cars or buildings. To the south one can just make out the public fishing pier. There are no buildings in sight to the North. However, right outside the park are convenient restaurants and attractions. We recommend O'Steen's seafood for the best fried shrimp we've had in 38 years in Florida. Warning - order to go.It's small and the wait is long. The second night we had a terrific meal at the A1A Alehouse. The whole area is a great place for multiple three generations (we had three)to enjoy.

If you like more natural and quiet settings this is a great beach and a way to get away from the crowd and enjoy the ocean. I think the fee is $5 per car, so not a limiting fee.

Take your time. If you want to have a little additional fun rent a bike.
