Owner description: San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. All together, San Sebastian labels have won over 1,600 awards for excellence in winemaking, with more coming in each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida and Georgia. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. The Cellar Upstairs features incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine, draft beer and light appetizers.

The wine tours are fun and free. But the Cellar Upstairs is the reason I keep going back. The wine is fantastic, the atmosphere and view serene and the jazz music fun and relaxing by turns. Any time that The Ray Love Band or Beautiful Bobby is playing, be sure to get their early and grab a good table.

Took the girls to SSW yesterday, on Saturday and enjoyed the sampling. it was fun and cool inside on a hot day. On my first trip, my husband and I visited on a Thursday and had a much better experience. On saturday they have different wine stations and you get a few minutes to taste and move on. On Thursday we got an actual tour with in depth info on each wine and some education and history, The weekday tour is like reading the book, and then Saturday is like seeing the movie. Still good, but you miss alot of the exciting detail. They had some live music up top on the roof, but the heat ran us to our next destination.

After driving for 19+ hours from Michigan and spending a few hours on St. Augustine Beach this was just the place we needed. Four of us enjoyed some absolutely wonderful white sangria and some live music up on the roof, which is something they offer every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who just wants to take a load off and enjoy a nice adult beverage. They also serve food that looked pretty tasty, but we did not partake. All in all, a nice relaxing little place to just soak in St. Augustine.

Friendly people, good wine. Their wine sampling was six different wines spread out on two floors, so you walked from wine to wine. Very nice.

Although this is not an actual winery,(they only hold it at this facility not make it) the tour and wine tasting are free. We arrived after a tour had already started and the guy at the front lead us to the tour group immediately. It obviously a way to get you to buy their wine, but you don't have to. They tour guide was very friendly and informative. The wine was not bad. Would definitely recommend it.
