“Excellent! Will Go Back!”

If you're going to St. Augustine, FL, This is the hotel to go to! Pros: Closest to everything, Really Great Staff, Clean Room, pool & jaccuzi. Next to Seafood Resturant, Ripley's Museum, Castillo de San Marco, Visitor's Center, St. George's Stree/Historical District. Park you car and don't look at it again until you go home. Can have adult beverages and no need to drive! Beautiful Clean area, safe for quiet walks at night. Lovely!
Cons: Small room/bathroom, don't bother with the breakfast, get your own/ bring fruit and muffins!
For me it's worth it to go back again and again!

  • Liked — Location! Nice and Clean! Quiet, great night's sleep! STAFF IS GREAT!

Nice hotel for the money - great location (about 3 mins walk to St George's Street). Rooms are not huge, but we were hardly ever there. The bathroom was a little on the tiny side, but again, how big does it need to be?

Overall, positive experience - very friendly staff as well, very helpful

The only benefit to staying at this motel is that it is right in the center of the tourist attractions. If you don't mind moldy smelling rooms, bathrooms so small you can hardly fit into them, rock hard beds, air conditioning units that are as noisy as trains, terrible lighting and an overall 1970's decor then this is the place for you. I can't even describe how horrific the parking was - you're lucky to find a space at all on most nights. We had reserved a room for two nights - we checked out after one and will never be back. The pool is located right next to a large trash dumpster - what a view. The whole experience was horrible.

My wife and I have been going to St. Augustine on our Anniversary for the last 8 or 9 years. We have always chosen the Spanish Quarter every year, except this one. We decided to change up and stay closer to the Interstate, save a little money and be close to the outlet malls..............What a MISTAKE!!!!!! We ended up staying for a grand 2 1/2 hours at this hotel and just couldn't take it.........We had to Go Home(Spanish Quarter).....What this hotel lacks in size, it definately makes up for it with HEART............The staff, is exceptional......Thank You Sheri for your help with our mistake........

This is an ok place to hang your hat if you have no other choices, but we will not be back. The beds were hard as rocks and the bathroom extremely small. The coffee maker (if it can be called that) made one cup only, and the cups provided were styrofoam. Additionally, the coffee maker was broken and we had to go to the lobby for coffee. The location is convenient (just outside the city gates) and the pool was clean and refreshing. For $50 more, however, we could have stayed at a B & B with pillowtop beds, a huge bathroom and a full-service breakfast. This place just wasn't worth the 130.00 we were charged.

Our choir stayed at this location for 3 nights. The location was great. The Visitor Information Center was next door and a sightseeing train stand right outside the lobby. It was within walking distance of the St. George Street shops, the marina and the Castillo de San Marcos. The staff was vey helpful, Sheri attended to our every need. The bathroom was small, but the room was comfortable. It was quite adequate. We enjoyed our continental breakfast in our room.
We would highly recommend you catch a sunrise by
the Castillo de San Marcos, just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Beware of staying at this Hotel and believing it will be quiet !!
We just returned from a 3 night stay and experienced one of the most noisy saturday nights in any hotel anywhere we have ever stayed !!
A number of inconsiderate guests decided they would party at the pool until 4am (pool area closes at 10pm)
The night staff did nothing to stop this rowdy/noisy behaviour until the police were called.
They claimed they were unaware of the disturbance...They must have been the only ones that were !!
The hotel management offered No real apologises or compensation for such a disturbance, other than they were a noisy group.
This Motel (Not a Hotel) is well situated and the rates are generally good,However ,It does seem to be on the downward spiral of comfort and service.
