This is a very informative, very interesting attraction. Yes....the dialogues by the tour guides are a little over rehearsed and sometimes cheesy, but altogether very enjoyable. I love that this last time, they gave us an herb guide! Funny how medicine is returning to the basics again. Our tour guide was really quite good and had 'fun' with her 9 year old 'patient' from the audience! I thought the admission was fair for the education I got! Loved the gift shop soaps too! In my opinion, its a must see! The only downfall is that there are no bathrooms close by!

Since this is a SMALL PLACE, and not much to see or do... i highly recommend this for adults and for taking this tour on your second or third trip to St.Augustine. save your time and dollars on your first trip for things like Flagler College, a fun Paranormal Tour...anyway...this was interesting, but honestly a little cheesy and i left wanting to know more about the actual hospital ...and who the patients may have been. The very sweet tour guide was telling jokes just a little too forced ... but again...it was interesting!

This place will not interest everyone, but if you have an interest in medicine or health, you'll find it interesting. Fidgety kids may be bored if they aren't entertained by listening to the guides. The tour consists of 4 rooms. There's not much to see except for one room. The guides are interesting though and are the major source of information. The last room is the herbalist, not much to see, but very interesting. Be advised there are no public restrooms here.

This was a fairly short tour of maybe four small rooms. Not a lot to look at but we had a great tour guide who gave us a lot of information about medical practices back in time. She really made the tour but she talked a little too fast. It almost felt like we were being rushed in and out, even though she seemed passionate with her story telling. Worth going to see the demonstration of surgical instruments and hearing about the early herbal remedies and how similar they are to what we use today.
