Great price and great location, just across the street from the beach. Rooms were spacious, clean and the staff was very friendly. Within walking distance to alot of the shops and stores, and the Pier.

You can't go wrong staying here. Staff, room and the motel is just across from the park and the Pier we did not want to leave.
Everything we wanted at good value. We almost went for a different hotel at 178 .

Room Tip: No elevator so 1st floor easy to carry luggage into

I was impressed with the cleanliness, up until I had to wipe down the light switch. It has an indoor pool, but it's iffy looking and very shallow. I passed. This is by no means a luxury or even mid luxury hotel. There's not enough parking, and no office area if you need to print. The manager will allow you to hook up your laptop and print, but we had to search for a driver for the printer, and it was a bit of a pain. There is a elevator, which is nice, and a guest laundry, which is another bonus. They only offer continental breakfast, but there are quite a few little places nearby for that.
Our room had a little fridge and microwave, and was overall very quiet. My biggest complaint was the beds and pillows. The mattress was rock solid, and pillows were little more that pillowcases. I won't stay again because of this..I'll forgo the indoor pool for a comfy bed and deep pillows.I have to toouch on the bathroom too, that's pretty important. The door was literally falling apart and held together with what appeared to be thumbtacks. The tub was moldy too, and shower curtain was old and ratty looking. I liked that there were more outlets than usual. It is very close to the beach though, so as long as you bring a sleeping bag, your set.

Room Tip: Choose a room at another hotel, and pay the extra money. You will not get a good nights rest here. T...

I found it by accident, when I ran across a picture of the indoor pool. Located across the street from St. Johns pier and public beach access. Crosswalk is beside driveway; ocean barely visible from parking lot. Good value at the price (under $65, and taxes not as ridiculus as such areas often are ) . Only 4 miles to Old Town. Plenty of restaurants in area.

Room Tip: Not accessable thru "Regency" site; find under "beachregency" A1A is on two st...

We needed a couple days away so we chose St. Augustine as a destination. We chose this resort because of their proximity to downtown and the beach and also because they had an inside heated pool. We're from Florida so I don't really like cold water and March has been a little too cold to swim. The rooms were very clean and very firm. I had one complaint that was handled very swiftly about the shower curtain. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and thank the front desk staff for the great service!

We love this hotel and plan to return again. Some rooms are more updated than others, some beds more comfortable than others, but overall it is a great place to stay and a great value. Bring your own pillows as hotel pillows are super small. Avoid Bike Week if possible, if you want to sleep in. Bikers reving their engines early in the morning outside your hotel room door, annoying and inconsiderate. Beach across the street. Great restaurants closeby.

Room Tip: Seems like rooms with even numbers are quieter. Room 121 door and sink broken, but functional.

Absolutely loved this place. Beach and pier are right across the street. A must place to eat is Panama Hatties. Their Pulled Pork was wonderful. Most hotels in this area only have outdoor pools. Regency has an indoor pool which is kept nice and warm making the cooler evenings enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you go in the winter, try and get a room closer to the indoor pool.
