“Good location”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

We spent a pleasant night in the Regency Inn & Suites. It's located across the beach, so it's perfect if you plan to spend time at the beach. Otherwise, there is not much to do in the direct vicinity of the hotel. You will need to drive to find restaurants or to visit Saint-Augustine. Still, the value is good and it's an alternative to consider if staying in downtown Saint-Augustine is not a priority for you.
The breakfast was average but the room was clean and the staff helpful.

This is not a bad place to stay, if you don't mind sleeping on a slab of concrete and waking up with back pain. Don't plan on eating the free continental breakfast because it's dismal. Basically, this is what you expect for $55 per night. You get what you pay for. The room was actually very clean, but details like holes in the curtain and bedspread sort of distracted me from that fact. On a positive note, it does have micro/fridge and free Internet access. Also, the front desk is friendly. Now, about that "great location" I keep reading about...the beach is not across the street. It's a block away. If I can't see waves from the window, I can't say the location is great. Unless I end up on a strict budget, I doubt I will return.

We stayed here because of the Tripadvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was clean & comfortable. That's all we needed for our 1 night stay. The beach is right across the street. We would stay here again.

ok let me start by saying that my boyfriend booked this room and when I heard it was beach access for $55/night I was nervous. But I was pleasantly surprised (and im picky)...this hotel has super friendly staff, its very clean everywhere I checked, heated indoor pool, super comfy beds, mounted flat screens and a huge newly tiled bathroom. I was very impressed with the hotel especially for the price! The pier and beach is right across the street and was only 3 or 4 miles from downtown. It was perfect! Def give this hotel a try...you WONT be disappointed!

Room Tip: We had a basic room with King bed and fridge and micro & coffee pot...that's all you really...

My husband, seven-year-old son, and I stayed at the Regency Inn for two nights in October 2012. We just wanted a cheap but clean place to stay on our way to visit family. I was expecting something awful based on some other reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is older and showing some wear, but our room and the common areas were clean and moderately well maintained. The breakfast was sufficient with danishes, cereals, and bagels (it would be much better if they would add cream cheese). But the really great aspect of the hotel was its location. Just cross over a two-lane road and a visitors' center parking lot, and you will be at the beach. If you enjoy long beach walks, head to the left and you will soon find yourself at the Anastasia State Park. You can walk into the park from a boardwalk to the beach. And if you enjoy collecting shells, you will find tons of them along that walk. Because of this great location, we found the Regency Inn to be a great deal.

Great location, we hired a car so were able to go across the bridge to the old town.
Room was on the first floor, huge bed, huge TV and everthing we needed.
Breakfast was included, it was basic with coffee, juice, cereal, toast and pastries.
If we stay in St Augustine again we would be staying here again. Great stay and wish we had stayed more than 1 night.

Stayed here for one night in a King room on the ground floor. It is great location right across from the beach and the pool was nice enough. The breakfast was Poor, but I wasn't expecting too much from it in the first place. The room was clean enough, but the bathroom needs to be updated. Carpet looked new and the bed was comfortable. Location is the reason to stay here.
