Description: Inspired by the historical period of the early 20th century, our idea is to reintroduce our guests to a time where the experience of having a cocktail and a bite to eat was both healthful and enjoyable. Focused on the art and craft of mixing exceptional local ingredients in precise measurements to create perfect and unique flavor profiles. Fresh, house-pressed juices and a wide assortment of bitters and specially developed syrups, result in stunning cocktails. Attention is paid to the smallest of details with three different kinds of ice, including a nod to the building's original use as an Ice Plant, with a 300lb block of ice and custom cubes. The farm to table restaurant and bar is open for lunch and dinner. Serving grass-fed beef and burgers, local seafood, with vegetarian options and daily specials. The original "Ice Plant" building dates back to 1927, an experience like no other in Florida. It is complete with the original bridge crane on rails overhead the bar. The crane was used to pick up huge blocks of ice to then be broken down and sold to local customers and the shrimp boats. We wanted to restore the feeling of walking into an old factory. Come relax and enjoy a step back in time.

Get off the main tourist drag and have lunch at the Ice Plant on Riberia, a short walk from the Lightner Museum. Order the chicken pot pie — a glorious assemblage of chicken, vegetables and gravy topped with biscuits. It’s enough for two. Then head downstairs to the St. Augustine Distillery. Take the tour. Finish up in the store for samples of small-batch whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. Yum.

My husband and I are passing through St. Augustine and only have one night. We decided on the Ice Plant and Distillery. Jennifer was our server and she was awesome!! She knows the menu unbelievably well and van describe anything perfectly. We had a few small plates, all recommended by Jennifer and we loved each one. The hummus and the crab dip on bread was delicious but our favorite was the duck confit with corn hoe cakes and grilled pears and carmelized onion. The flavors together were heaven and the meat fell off the bone. I had 2 margaritas that were perfect and my husband loved the single barrel bourbon that they make at the distillery. The service was top notch, food was fantastic and atmosphere is super cool. Loved everything!!!

The Ice Plant’s bartenders are true artists. They make the best craft cocktails in St. Augustine from a menu that changes quite a bit. It’s the one bar in St. Augustine that could be in Los Angeles or New York. It’s classy and my favorite bar in St. Augustine, order the cheese board for the win.
