We traded into this condo. We are always a little leary to do so. 2 out of 4 times trading to different places we have been disappointed but Not this time. We traded up and got a 2 bedroom because our teenage daughter was bringing a friend. Our room was in building G on the top floor(no elevators) and was absolutely huge and had views of the pool and ocean. It was more like a large apartment and a smaller one attatched. We had a full size washer and dryer with detergent supplied. Half Bath in the hallway. Full kitchen with adequate supply of dishes and utensils, freezer with ice maker. They also supplied dishwashing soap and detergent. Dining room leading to our balcony with another dining set and that wonderful view. Living room with Flat Screen and DVD. Master bedroom had plenty of storage, tv, jacuzzi tub (a little noisy and not enough jets for our taste) in the corner and a full bathroom with stand up shower. It had a window with blinds that let in a lot of light in come morning. It also had another balcony with black out curtains. This balcony attatched to my daughter and friends room. Their room only had the balcony door with black out curtains and in the morning their room was dark as night. They also had plenty of storage, tv and full size bathroom with tub and shower. There was a connector hallway between their room and the main living space that had a small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, sink, more cabinets, dishes, utensils also another seating area with pullout couch, more storage and another tv. I said the place was huge, right? The grounds had lots of plant life and lots of little lizzards running around. The board walks are in need of desperate help. There was areas with warped boards and a few broken boards that were marked with cones temporarily. The boardwalks led you to everything on the resort including the several clean pools, hot tub, tennis courts, gas grills, common area and can't forget the beach. They have their own private access with a boardwalk over the dunes. There is a gate to get through that you need a specific resort code to use. The resort is close to grocery, putt-putt and plenty of good restaurants, our favorite being Salt Water Cowboys. It is only a 15 minute drive to downtown Saint Augustine where we spent a lot of time. All said in done, this is a place a would happily go again

We stayed at this resort the week of Aug 20th and enjoyed our visit immensely. We rented the 2 bedroom hamlet in J building, which is the furthest from the ocean, but a very peaceful part of the complex. The unit was very clean and well equipped for all our needs. The back sitting area was mostly secluded for privacy. The walk to the beach really wasn't bad once we learned the way, and there were places to sit along the way if needed. We really liked the gazebo that was right before the beach gate. The only drawback was they hadn't yet gotten the wifi problems with this building worked out, so we had to go to the club house for internet.
I did like the fact that there was security on the premises at all times.

Room Tip: The J building is where we stayed. It was very quiet. It is very close to one of the 3 pools and the...

We stayed here June with my husbands family and had a great time. It is definitely not a fancy place but if you are looking for a family vacation that in a casual setting this is great. The unit we stayed in had 3 bedrooms. The mattresses were probably the biggest downfall to the place. My husband and I slept in 2 twin beds and I woke up with a backache after the first night...I think the mattresses may have been 50 years old! The kitchen was pretty well stocked which was good since we had all of our meals on site. There is a Publix grocery store and a Winn Dixie just down the road, but the prices were definitely higher than off the island.
We did have 1 plumbing issue in the bathroom and the staff responded within 2 hours to fix the problem.
It was also great that there were multiple pools on site. If there were alot of people at at one we were usually able to move onto the next and have that one have no one there!

We were concerned prior to arrival regarding the current reveiws, but took a chance anyway. We found it to be a very comfortable and pleasant get away. The staff (Festiva) were awesome! We had a slight issue with the kitchen sink plumbing, and it was quickly fixed! The only draw back to the trip was the trek to the beach. It was quite a maze to navigate but after the first day we found our way easily. The 2 bedroom condo was very spacious and clean. We would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: Building J is the furthest from the beach.

We recently rented unit 101-B at Hibgiscus and were very dissappointed in the decor, cleanliness, inventory of kitchen utensils, and general condition of the condo. Upon arrival we found a wet toweel hanging in the bathroom, a stained bedspread in the master, a queen topsheet on a king bed, skillets that wers tuck together with old bacon grease, and kitchen cabinets that had a film of grease on them. We tried our best to clean up enough to make it tolerable, but gave up after a few days. We rented from Steve Milo at Vacation Rental Pros, and they found us a new condo to go to. Thank God for Steve and his professional crew. This condo is not rental ready. The property is old and needs a lot of updating.

Room Tip: Consider Summer House or any of thye other great condos in the area. Use Vacation Rental Pros and t...

This is the second time we have stayed here. While the lack of views from the unit is disappointing, the location is great and the beach is fabulous, not crowded at all. The boardwalk to the beach always surprised us with wildlife to look at. We saw Gopher Tortoise (one was actually walking up the Boardwalk), a Box Turtle, many Marsh rabbits, and even a very pretty rattlesnake down in the brush. Don't worry, they don't get up in the inhabited areas, are very shy and are very beneficial creatures.

If you need handicapped access make sure you request a ground floor unit as there are no elevators. The master bedroom had a very large jacuzzi tub which I would use after a hot day at the beach. You are close enough to downtown St. Augustine to see the sights and then retreat back to the beach. Nearby is a hidden gem of a statuary park and veteran's memorial. It is located next to the police station and was very pleasant. Fort Matanzas is also nearby and often overlooked in favor of the more famous Castillo de San Marcos.

There is a Publix and Winn Dixie nearby in case you want to cook in the condo. The unit was clean and had a washer and dryer.

Room Tip: If you need handicapped access ask for the ground floor.

We have been here two years in a row now and, while it is not the fanciest place I have ever stayed, we find it comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. The location, to us, is perfect. Far enough away from the hustle of downtown St. Augustine, but close enough to get there in less than 10 minutes. The beach off this resort is the best in the area, in my opinion. Much less crowded than the ones around downtown. Three pools to choose from and the boardwalk to the beach is fabulous at sunset. I highly recommend this place and intend to return next year!
