“A little on the pricey side, but good, informative tour. Beautiful grounds.”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

Went here a couple of weeks ago - I'd been here many years ago on a family trip. The admission price was fairly high. I don't actually remember what the cost was - but do remember it was a bit pricey. The tour guide was very informative and was able to answer all questions from our group. The thing that actually stood out the most to me were the grounds here themselves. Really pretty setting, stone work and plants. Even the restrooms were interesting here.

“Nice little tour”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

We enjoyed a little tour of the Oldest House, our guide was knowledgeable, a bit rote although, friendly enough and willing to answer questions patiently. If you enjoy historic places, you'll enjoy this.

“Great history lesson”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

The house is set up to reflect the time periods. There were very interesting stories about the ways in which the residents of the home operated outside the "norm" for the time period in which they lived. The mistresses of the households were especially noteworthy.

“Small House, Interesting history”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

The oldest house is a must see. The tour guides are well informed of the history of the area. The guide shared unique stories one will not find at the large attractions. It was very interesting to learn of the history of St. Augustine through the lives of the different home owners.

“Oldest House Tour”
Reviewed December 2, 2013 via mobile

Once I arrived, a kind old man began the tour of the old house, starting with the exhibit area of the house where he explained the building process and history the house went through. After that, the man led my family and I into the house and beginning the tour on the first floor. He explained everything in detail and then proceeded onto the second floor. The best part was that it was not one of those tours that are one hour long. It was about 20-30 minutes. This place is absolutely beautiful and one may enjoy learning the history of this house. One can also see the way people used to live back then and their living standards! Really worth the visit!
