My aunt, sister-in-law and I were looking for a restaurant on the water for a late lunch over Easter week. We had seen Conch Island advertised in one of the local tourist magazines and decided to give it a try. It is off the beaten path a bit, but well worth finding. We sat on the deck under an umbrella, settled in with some Bloody Mary's, and enjoyed the view and the food. We watched and photographed pelicans and other shore birds, and just took in the sparkling water all around. The conch fritters, a favorite of mine, were delicious. My aunt and I had salads which were large and fresh, and my sister-in-law had a bacon cheeseburger which she pronounced excellent. We will definitely try dinner there on our next trip. If you are on vacation, looking for that "relaxing on a tropical isle" moment, go and enjoy. And don't forget to check out the alligators!

We have visited this restaurant a few times prior to this review. We only visit the Conch House on Fridays or Saturdays evenings when the Hawaiian style band “The Big Pineapple” is performing. The combination of outdoor sitting close to the dock, tiki huts, and “The Big Pineapple” music does allow for a pleasant South Pacific atmosphere. Otherwise, the food is average with average price.

Lots of seafood based dishes on the menu. We do recommend the calamari with the banana pepper appetizer. On the other hand, the dozen raw oysters are relatively small in size. Usually there is a long wait for sitting but get a beer from the bar, enjoy the live music and the wait can be enjoyable too. Check their website for entertainment schedule.

As you probably can tell, the reason we patronize the Conch House is more for the atmosphere than the food. And yes!...we will be back.

Go for the atmosphere- tiki huts, rum drinks, and island relaxation. The minorcan chowder was good. Food was good, not stellar, but the atmosphere makes up for it.

We have been going here the past few trips to St. Augustine. The food Is good and the ambience is great. We usually sit in the tiki huts, they call them. My wife always gets the shrimp and I almost always a fish sandwich or fish dinner. The blackened grouper was very good this past visit.
My GPS did get us close to the property but not right to the door front, so beware yours may not either.
Nice place to eat lunch.

We were having trouble figuring out where to eat dinner and I looked and saw Conch in the name and decided that's where we were going to go. SO MUCH FUN!!! It's a restaurant that has a dock that goes to the "bar" portion. Sunday night is reggae night so we had great music. Our table was right on the water. They have these cool little tiki tables that are separate that looked fun but we were hungry and went with first available. The food was a bit expensive but really really good and worth it. We had the seafood grits and scallops.
