“Authentic and Informative”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

We visited the Colonial Quarter in April of this year after it had been opened for only a short time, but it already had wonderful displays of Colonial times and very knowledgeable people to answer questions. We especially were impressed with the building of an authentic 16th Century ship. This extremely interesting historic display can only get better with time. It will be fun to visit again in a year or two to see the progress that has been made.

“Colonial Quarter”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We had a "more then wonderful" experience at Colonial Quarter hands on tour through the 16th, 17th, and 18th century. The black smith, Scott, demonstrated how to make a knife, the kids completed a scavenger hunt that is including in the admission price. (cheap entry fee). We also did a militia line up with fake wooden muscats with a demonstration. There is a reenactment play at night, that I believe is included. We stayed there for almost 3 hours touring the old house, and everything else.

“Entertaining and Educational”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Recently opened historic site where you feel you can immerse yourself in the past. Actors who are also experts in their fields (blacksmith, shipwright, etc).

As an author who is writing about colonial ST. Augustine, I was captivated with how life-like the Quarter is. I also learned enough to make some corrections in my current manuscript which takes place in 1650 St. Augustine.

Stand-outs: the blacksmith AND the shipwright played by theater major, Diego, who presented the material and answered our questions with great flare. Diego is also a member of Quarter Crew Review - an entertaining portrayal of colonial life by a theater troup on Friday and Saturday nights at that very sight. Looking forward to experiencing that too.

A memorable and highly recommended experience.

“Must See”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

A living history lesson. My kids and I had a great time interacting with the cast. They are welcome to our questions and knew a lot of information. Looked like they were still working on more parts of the town and we will go back to see what all they have done. Our guide Grimm was great and made the tour very fun.
