“A magical spot hidden away”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

Don't miss going to Cap's on the Water to see the sunset. The Oyster Bar at the far end of the restaurant has wonderful cocktails (the rum punch and Goonbay Smash are delicious); tables right on the water's edge; hanging oyster chimes; propane heaters if it happens to be chilly. The food at Cap's I think is very nicely done - both bar food (Belgium french fries) or in the restaurant. We've seen dolphins and turtles so far but love the decking that is built around live oak trees with spanish moss hanging down and little lights woven around the trees. It's a magical spot and not to be missed. Down A1A towards St. Augustine from Ponte Vedra Beach; it's a right-hand turn down into a community and only a small blue sign to indicate where to turn. Enjoy!

“Dinner with a View”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

Had dinner on the Intracoastal at Caps. Delicious she-crab soup and warm bread with their own tasty spread for starters. Good entrees and finished with creme brûlée. Tried to go on a warm Saturday night and couldn't even park for the crowd. Came back on a rainy Monday night early - got right in!

“Special Place!”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

This was our third dinner at Caps on the Water, what an amazing spot! Dinner was spectacular as always and a great wine list. If you are ever in St. Augustine, make sure to make this part of your visit. Great food, great service, just a must for your visit.

“Unbeatable food and atmosphere”
Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

The setting is well worth coming for a drink. Somewhere will bring friends and family for the ambiance. The oysters and salads were wonderful. The highlight was the seared trigger fish. We will come back Everytime we are in town. The only disappointment was the dessert but we really didn't need order anyway. Know very busy if u come at 630 to 730 on a weekend, so we advise come early or after 830. We didn't mind as it gave us time to enjoy appetizers and drinks
