This was our third dinner at Caps on the Water, what an amazing spot! Dinner was spectacular as always and a great wine list. If you are ever in St. Augustine, make sure to make this part of your visit. Great food, great service, just a must for your visit.

“Unbeatable food and atmosphere”
Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

The setting is well worth coming for a drink. Somewhere will bring friends and family for the ambiance. The oysters and salads were wonderful. The highlight was the seared trigger fish. We will come back Everytime we are in town. The only disappointment was the dessert but we really didn't need order anyway. Know very busy if u come at 630 to 730 on a weekend, so we advise come early or after 830. We didn't mind as it gave us time to enjoy appetizers and drinks

“A" Real Taste Treat" in Ponte Vedre Beach”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

I decided to go to Caps on Valentines Day for dinner. When I arrived at 8:00 there was a 35-40 minute wait. The hostess offered to let me sit in the inside bar. I chose a small table and was greeted promptly by my server.
I started with an authentic gumbo, which was chock full of meat and veggies (9.99) and for main had flounder (Whole fried fish with a light apricot glaze, sweet & sour cucumbers and tartar sauce (21.99)
For dessert I opted for Amaretti chocolate pie (5.99). The pie was dense, moist, and served with fresh strawberry, raspberries and whipped cream.
The atmosphere was homey, comfortable and unpretentious.
I will definitely go there again when in St. Augustine

“Yum, seafood”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

I would come back here in a minute. The setting is awesome. The odd jet can be annoying, but the food is great. We had the seafood platter, and the Mediterranean linguini. Both very good. The portions are large. The server was very knowledgeable about the food. The key lime pie cups were really good too. With lobster fritters and a glass of wine, our bill was $120 for 3 of us.
We are staying close by, so this place is going to be on the list of lunching spots too.

“Amazing dinner!!!!!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

From our great waitress, (PA) KiKi, to the delicious grouper and triggerfish dinners and that tasty tomato/walnut butter on a great warm bread, that had followed soo tasty calamari/ she crab soup appetizers, everything was wonderful !!!!!!!!! Although the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, inside it is a beautiful setting. After dinner drinks at the inside bar were terribly skimpy!!!! but our overall dining experience here was very enjoyable.
