My husband and I took a short vacation to St. Augustine and stayed at the Hampton Inn in Vilano Beach. I had researched restaurants we wanted to try before we left home but most of them were in the city and, after a day of sightseeing, we were happy to cross the bridge back to Vilano Beach and not go into the city again. That's why we chose this place. We saw the sign for it about halfway across the bridge and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised although we think it must be a popular locals' place since it was packed at 6pm on a Thursday night. Of course, that's good since locals always know the best places to eat.
We really wanted to sit outside but it was too cold. The outside eating area looks small but is right next to the water and would have been really nice.
We thought we got reasonably priced and good food. We got 4 beers, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees and with tip our bill was $75.00. We had calamari and conch fritters for appes and fish and chips and ahi tuna for our entrees. Everything was very good.
Service was also good - very efficient.
We would recommend this restaurant whether you are staying in the city or on Vilano Beach. It's only a short drive from either place.
