“A Pleasant Surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

After walking around in the heat of the city, it was good to come into the cafe and be surprised not only by the pleasant live music, but the service and great food. We had been to a number of restaurants on our trip to St. Augustine and this one was the best. Thank you Sean for your interesting and intelligent remarks on food to my two companions who are both "foodies."

“Excellently unusual setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013 via mobile

Really enjoyed this cafe after looking round the museum the food was good and it's so cool to be sat in the deep end of what was once the worlds largest indoor swimming pool. Also the little antique shops around it are very cool.

“Hugh Sandwiches!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

Great location in the old swimming pool of the Alcazar Hotel (you read that right). Great place for lunch, but be warned: their sandwiches are very large. Fun place to walk around.

“Great location, delicious food, excellent service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

I visit St. Augustine often and this is the best restaurant I've eaten at! The location is delightful in an old historic building and the restaurant is in the deep end of the pool. The service was spectacular! Sean was our server and was amazing!! The menu had great options on it, especially for a vegetarian. I ordered the artichoke Giovanni and my fiancé ordered the shrimp Giovanni and BOTH were amazing! Great portions, flavors, and price. The restaurant has a "fancy" feel to it because it's so nice, but you will feel comfortable even if you go in shorts and flip flops. It really is the best restaurant in St. Augustine!!!

“great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

you tour the Lightner museum and smell something delicious and it's the restaurant in the pool! You have to leave the museum and enter thru a side door for the rest. and shops. Neat place! kids love the buttered pasta (side dish of parm for them to add themselves) and not cheap at $7.50 for kids meal but they so enjoy. love that they give (altho small tables can't always easily accomodate) caraffe's of beverage refills so you can do yourself. Curried chicken salad was divine! ham and cheese pressed sandwich not so bad either. Gratis dessert on your bday!! Key lime pie pretty darn good! Great service, wonderful piano player.
