“Handy and just right after a day of travel”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

I like fajitas. They made a meal bigger than I could eat!
Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were appropriate $10 lunch - $10-15 for dinner,

This is an old school kinda Mexican restaurant. Dependable. Predictable.
Perfect when you don't wanna wander around a new town.

Glad I found it,

“Not Sure”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

1st Mexican restaurant we tried in America - very different to European offerings. Found the food to be unseasoned and bland (contrary to the belief that it would be highly spiced). Decor was not up to date, but this did not detract from the experience ans we found the best food offerings in dives.

“First Mexican restaurant”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

This restaurant is opposite the hotel we were staying at and after a long tiring days sightseeing we needed a convenient place to eat so we walked across the road to try a new experience.
The staff made us welcome and when we explained that we did not know what to expect they talked us through the menu.
The first bonus was it was happy hour and the drinks were 2 for one and as we did not have to drive we took advantage of the offer and ordered a couple of margaritas, which were very good.
We nibbled the chips and salsa while waiting for the food to arrive and when it came we were not disappointed. Admittedly we did not have any experience of what to expect so we could not say how authentic the food was but we enjoyed it. Later in the trip we visited another Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville Beach and we can say that that one was not as good as here.

“Needs a good cleaning, Food OK”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

Found this place on TripAdvisor and popped in for a quick lunch with family on our way to the alligator farm. It was filling, quick, and cheap. The food was just mediocre and most importantly the facility needs a good cleaning (and a much needed update). Our server was quite pregnant and really needed to sit down and prop her feet up instead of run around after us! Not sure we'd return (we were from out of state visiting) but it was fun to try something local and non-chain.

“Take a chance and stop in!”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

We have eaten here a few times, each time we have stayed in town at the hotel that is right across the street. The food is wonderful and a very good value for the large servings. Free chips and salsa on the table are great. The place is small, but has been busy and crowded each time we have been. The building is a little run down and the decor is a little cheesy, but that is part of its charm...
