We visited here at the recommendation of our hotel staff and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is rustic and very pleasant - seafood was outstanding; full bar service. Worth a try, if your in St. Augustine.

Outdoor dining is what Florida is all about to us (Visiting from SC)- we enjoyed patio dining under the magnolia and oak trees with the view of the inlet marsh. Service was excellent, waitstaff very attentive-but not overbearing. NIghtly special, Porterhouse porkchop blakened was large -great value & flavor. Seafood lovers have lots of choices. House Salad dressing, tomato-vinegrette was very good-slightly sweet & spicy.

We were told upon arrival that live music is typically on the patio however the night of our visit had to be cancelled. Instead jazzy, blues music was played- really added to atmosphere-but you could still have a conversation and enjoy the view.

We've been to the sister "Saltwater Cowboys"- I highly recommend both, you won't be disappointed. Use call ahead seating for large groups.

We go to St. Augustine on a yearly basis for vacation. My family recently had dinner at Creekside. The quality, quantity, and flavor of the food is DEFINITELY not worth the menu prices. For starters the cole slaw was room temperature and swimming in juice. The bread sticks were okay but nothing you can't find in the frozen food section at your local grocery store. I ordered the Margarita Fish which the waiter raved over. It was nothing more than a grilled piece of fish with lime juice (completely tasteless). Most everyone in our party order fried shrimp and for the taste and quantity it was definitely not worth the price. The shrimp and pasta dish was mostly pasta, sauce and tons of garlic....not much shrimp to be found. We will never return to this establishment when vacationing. We all left highly disappointed in a highly priced meal . Don't mind spending the money on a good meal...if it's worth it.. Creekside needs to lower their prices or increase the quality and quantity of the food served.

We contacted the restaurant a week prior to my brother's birthday to ensure we could have a reservation for our family of 7, which included my husband, who is 62 and permanently wheelchair bound. The person who answered the phone told us they didn't make reservations, but that it would not be a problem to dine inside at 6:30 the evening we discussed. They informed us to call at 5:00 the evening that we wanted to dine there to ensure that they could place us inside. A week later, at 4:40 we called and spoke to someone again who said 6:30 was fine and that we wouldn't have to wait to dine inside.

Upon arrival, we were informed it was impossible to be seated until 8:30 - two hours later - but if we wanted to, we could eat outside (during the heat in 92 degree weather). We asked for the manager, who then came out and said that they had a wedding party of 70, and originally thought that they could seat us, but (again) we would have to eat outside (in the heat). We provided ample opportunity to discuss another arrangement with the manager, but she would not budge, she kept repeating how important the weddding party of 70 was.

It's obvious that the wedding party did not come up between 4:40 that afternoon and 6:30. What's up with that?

We drove 45 miles and took faith with the restaurant's promise to honor their obligation, then we were expected to swelter outside eating (with one person in a wheelchair in the heat and a two-year old toddler). Or, we could wait outside for two hours and then be seated inside.

Do these people have any clue what the economy is like and how lucky they are to have people choose to dine at their establishment? The message I heard (3 times) was that the wedding party took precedence over someone else that they also made an obligation to (1-1/2 hours prior to that).

The manager followed us out into the parking lot after we left the restaurant. We thought she was going to attempt to make things right, but still kept stating the wedding party "happened" and how badly she felt. We asked her to please leave us alone so that we could leave in peace. We were upset when we left the restaurant, but her coming out with no resolution made it much worse.

We understand business the income a wedding party could generate, but it is not good business to put one party first and take advantage of the next group by making them suffer and keep telling them that a wedding party is more important to take care of. Simply put, this is not good business practice.

We left and decided to dine at Carraba's, who at the last moment had no issue seating us within 15 minutes. Carraba's was a very good dining experience that evening, and because of that, we were able to salvage a pleasant birthday celebration for my brother.

We will never return to Creekside Dinery.

My husband and I are new "locals" and went to Creekside to try something new. What a mistake. First off, we were seated at a table right in front of the bar on the deck where everyone is coming and going and this was not due to it being busy. The band they had spent the first couple minutes spouting off their political views...not good for business. Once we finally ordered, the food was substandard. My husband's steak was very rare when he ordered med-well and had no flavor and lots of fat. My shrimp and pasta entree was not even close to its description, it was overcooked shrimp buried in a marinara with overpowering garlic. The breadsticks were balnd, the house salad came from a bag (the house dressing was good though) and the waitress forgot our silverware. Before we were done with our "meal" we were literally surrounded by people who were waiting for tables and couldn't hear each other talk. For the price of it all, could've eaten better almost anywhere else.
