“Friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

Recently dined with sixty people at an Air Force reunion. Service was good- staff was friendly and most importantly got individual orders correct. Call a few months in advance to schedule for such a large group. Small parties will enjoy service too. Outside fire pit and decks give and old Florida feel.

“Great cooking in wonderful setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

Creekside Dinery has a country feel within the confines of the city of St. Augustine. The Crab bisque is to die for as are the bread sticks. The service was outstanding---our waiter kept the ice tea coming without our having to mention a word. The meal itself was good---but not breathtaking---like the Crab Bisque and bread sticks.

“Great food, great ambience on the deck under the oaks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

We just love Creekside. Live music (think CSN) every night on the huge deck, under the charmingly lit oak trees, with a big fire pit in the middle, outside of their beautiful old Cracker-style home. Seafood is consistently great, as is the service. Creek punch goes down a little too easily... Been enjoying this great experience for years; don't change a thing!

“Food & Atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

We've been driving from Orlando to Creekside for years. It's one of our favorite St. Augustine stops. The biggest draw is the outdoor deck underneath huge live oaks, the fire pit in the middle of the deck (where guests can roast marshmallows), and the small stage where local bands perform. The live music ranges from blue grass to folk to soft rock and really adds to the wonderful atmosphere. There's inevitably a little kid or two who meanders up front to dance to the band. And they have ambient lighting as a finishing touch.

I see from the reviews that some people don't like the food. I can't get enough of their Southern Comfort Fish, which is fish baked in BBQ sauce, served on grits, and topped with cheese, bacon, and onions. No, it's not diet food, but it's yummy. Their sides of the day are usually something like black-eyed peas and I like their tomato vinaigrette salad dressing. I've also had their fried shrimp, which was very crisp and not greasy. From the other reviews, I guess it depends on what you order and if you like Southern food. My husband has tried a lot of menu items and particularly likes the fish cooked on a plank and their combination platters. Their breadsticks are nothing special, so that's something they could improve on.

All in all, we love the place. It's fun. We like the food and atmosphere and people seem to be enjoying themselves there.

“Not too impressed.”

The outside dining is nice and kids enjoyed the firepit. There was live music that we enjoyed. The food was just average, nothing that would draw me back.
