I had the best meal I remember in St. Augustine on my latest annual trip to the city. I'm a food conoisseur, and I must say this place was top flight. Our server could have worked in any 5-star restaurant or hotel. The setting was suitably luxurious, but not beautiful in my opinion. And 3 of the 4 things I tried were exceptional: the bread, with its wonderful oil/pesto/vinaigrette sauce; the strip steak with a wonderful peppercorn sauce; and the Bananas Foster. The bean soup was just pleasant to good. I had their "95 in 45" lunch menu, which they guarantee to serve in 45 minutes. It was $16, though I added $10 for the dessert.
I haven't tried Opus 39 yet, but I'd say 95 Cordova is clearly one of the best in town (I've eaten there once before). Formerly I would have put La Parisienne among the top ones as well, but I haven't eaten there in a while and another reviewer on this site says they've declined since losing their chef to Opus 39.
